I had fun with this mission because I had ieds equipped so I stood directly above the barge and dropped 5 onto it, moved to get a good view and enjoyed the explosion. It was funny because the guys on the boat were like what is that as I dropped the ieds

Yeah I suppose but I didn't feel particularly threatened by the guard post at the bridge and if I got shot down using the hang glider, it's sure Nasreen would have placed me somewhere down in the Rail Xing area which would have been totally counterproductive to the strategy I had to kill Yabek. And after (or soon after) this mission is complete, I think your buddy rescue gets disabled anyways as the game prepares you for the escape-the-prison mission.

Yeah, I guess it would be kinda odd getting a buddy rescue during the big fire fight with them at the end.

The weapons unlocking happened to me after Act 1 as well, saved me alot of time once i figured that out hehe.

Can you be much more specific? Exactly what was unlocked when? I'm curious about this.

It unlocked all of the weapons that you could have unlocked in the previous Act. For example, if you did half of the convoy missions in Act 1, at the end of Act 1, you will get the rest of the weapons that you would have unlocked by doing the other half of the convoy missions. So I figure that it works for all of the Acts since it worked for you after the prison break mission.
