This guy is awesome... I met him way back when...during his time with Seal... he brought me up to his drumset and I couldn't believe how big cymbals he used...this guy had 18" hats... those were the smallest metals on his kit...

I've read an itw by Mike Landau where he said that Abe was always complaining about the length of his guitar solos when playing live with him; I love that spirit: the guy can play his ass off but when he plays drums to a song,that's only the song that matters.That's what makes the difference between a player and a musician :-)

I can proudly say I witnessed this live on the floor when Paul McCartney came to Fort Lauderdale Florida on May 17 2002. It was my first McCartney concert, and I have to say I absolutely loved this concert! Abe Laboriel Jr. is a monster drummer and is under rated in my drummer opinion.

I was there as well. I had just started drumming about 7 months before that. I remember watching Abe. He inspired me alot. I also remember being upset because Paul hadn't played yesterday and then he came out and did acoustic on his own. LOL

What a drummer, what a passion. I've seen this concert in Holland and except of the music by Paul (the Beatles) I was taken by the enthiousiasme by this GREAT drummer Abe, he is good. I love the way he moves and playes the drum so passionfull....
