  • Sure Gilmour isnt there, it is still one of the best performances Ive seen, with an outstanding solo.

  • I find out my best here on YT

  • Snowy White was the best part of the solo. Doyle doesn't have the sound or style to play the CF solo.

  • @DonKael White is amazing.

  • Guitars whale!!!!

  • Okay TheJesterC,i do admire David for his skills on guitar but Roger keeps proving

that he was PINK FLOYD...I saw him performing ,here in Holland, and you simply

can't get any closer to perfection....!! It was last month in a soccer stadium,3 nights

and completely sold out.......What is David doing right now??????????????

  • i dont understand!!! how could you are not liking this beautiful song with beautiful solo from mr. snowy white? 276 dislikes? not acceptable.

  • This is so much better than the original....In the Flesh is already, the album of this century....David is really nothing, without Roger.........

  • @niftydrum85 . Even though you may like Roger more than Gilmour, saying he is nothing compared to Rogers doesnt seem fair. He has recorded on an Island, a high quality album. Try watching his concert at Gdansk and at Royal Albert Hall. They are both great artists...

  • @domfo1 Gilmour is the musician. Waters is the theatrical douchebag. Gilmour at Gdansk show is epic, a great tribute to PF. Waters' current band is equivalent of Dream Theater. And no, Waters didn't write Comfortably Numb. Hell, I've read more than my share of accounts regarding the fact that Waters wasn't even a good enough bass player to lay down the tracks back in the day... Gilmour had to do it for him. Honestly, I don't get people's fascination with Waters.

  • Ok, I miss waters voice but I think I miss Glimore's harmony and guitar more.

  • It blows my mind people criticize Doyle and Snowy just because they aren't David Gilmour. Three different guitarists, three different styles. I think when Eric Clapton gives a guitarist, such as he did with Doyle, solos on his own show, that guitarist is more than talented. The great Andy Fairweather Low plays bass on this song, is he unqualified because he is not Roger Waters? I think not. They are all great musicians and the emotion of this concert stands up to that of Floyd concerts.

  • Amorrrrrrrrrrrrr denwa shite

  • Demain A Bercy Paris!! :))

  • Going to see him on 28th June in manchester. Soooo excited

  • absolutely love this song

  • Not nearly as good without Gilmour, but I give respect to the left-handed guitarist for filling in for both the vocals and the soloing of Gilmour. Not an easy feat.

In fact, I don't think a euphemism is even appropriate here. Fucking hard-to-do.

  • to the lead guitar: datti fuoco!

  • With regard to the people giving the kid with the strat a hard time, check out the width of the strings - low to high - and his fingering. He's not just playing left-handed, he's playing upside down! Bobby Womack is the only other guitarist I can think of who ever played this way and good luck with finding a tutor who will accommodate this approach! The kid stays in the picture!!

  • Lovely performance! Love Roger so so much! Last month he was here in The Netherlands and give a fantastic performance in Gelredome (Arnhem)!! :)

  • 276 people have no taste in music

  • there badass live to!! they got some unforgetablr talent<3 Love it!!

  • 275 people can´t hear what they are singing

  • great thief in the sky

  • @therealcraigbaxter

do you think it is cooler playing guitar like Snowy White or do you rather have a dude playing guitar while looking heavily constipated throughout the gig.

  • Clapton and Beck???

  • Besides, of course, Gilmour, this left handed guitarist (Bramhall) is probably the greatest singer/guitarist Waters has worked with.

  • @SpaveFrostKing .Snowey White?

  • bene ma,, la voce di David gilmour fa questa canzone

  • I am glad someone agrees with me

  • this is why i have a passion for music but it it a shame that this new shit they call music is killing the passion...........lady gag gag you stink and i feel sorry for 275 people.

  • @bjbuschman2 you are so right my friend.. this is music at its very best.. :)

  • this is why i have a passion for music but it it a shame that this new shit they call music is killing the passion...........lady gag gag you stink

  • Hotel Manager: He's a maniac! Pink's Manager: He's an artist!

  • Why does the guy with the guitar look and sound like a douche?

  • @99potato99 because he is your twin

  • @99potato99 because he is your twin

  • @99potato99 Are you Envious of him?

  • Who can dont like this MIRACLE?

  • The best concert and DVD ever made . I can listen to it 1,000 times, the best part start at 4.38 second when they play the guitars back and 4 with each other give me the chills.

  • I want the tab to that solo. I'd bite Mike Tyson's ear off for it.

  • man that guy is playing a left handed strat but strung right with the high E at the top and the low E at the bottom

  • Not very bad but that strato dude cant sing very good and he his face looks like he has to take a shit real bad when he tries to do a solo. I whish they played more like snowy white. he doesnt care how cool the solo his. he looks he is wating for a bus and plays some guitar while waiting on it.

  • @Thecookingfreak

if that's your taste ... hang out at bus stops ...

  • El Mariachi is not playing why every one commenting in spanish

  • Stratocaster's guy sucks so hard that I had pity on him...

  • Who's the guy playing the Strat?

  • @cott2696 - Doyle Bramhall II. Played in the group Arc Angels, and has played with Eric Clapton for the past 8-10 years or so. His father Doyle and Stevie Ray Vaughan were close friends.

  • @YTSlide Ah, yeah. I recognise him from Clapton's band. Thanks for the info.

  • played well ! despite suffering severe constipation throughout the gig !

  • Doyle Bramhall is the best...

  • That boner in skin tight pants.. good guitar

  • Imagine if they would've never split up.

  • Hello Roger magnifico con o sin Gilmour.

  • Porque no hay nbadie por ahi. hello hello. sick alike a rat . Relaxxxxxxxx

  • They are both great, however Gilmour has the feeling that Pink Floyd requires like no one else, Fantastic performance none the less

  • Doyle Bramhall might not be David Gilmour, but I'd like to see the naysayers here try to play Comfortably Numb to this level of proficiency.

  • fu

    ckin love it

  • I wish doyle would come and join roger on the wall he can get closest to david on guitar and vocals

  • I think that any of you could not view this, none of you would know the difference as to who is playing the solo. This is excellent, bottom line.

  • Of course Gilmour was much better, but you gotta admit - this version of the solo also kicks ass.

I know Doyle Bramhall II doesn't play as well as David Gilmour, but he and Snowy White held their own just fine.

Don't criticize Bramhall just because you're a fan of Gilmour's.

  • no feelings without david, the 2nd solo is simply soulless

  • i love how it takes like 3 people to do gilmours part of the song :)

  • Time passes and nothing can overcome it ... The last moments of music, the last time to review and critique of a social world that was changing and changing every nanosecond ...

  • not bad but def miss the legend that is gilmour, would like to see prince play this , not a prince fan at all but admire his guitar playing, check out "while my guitar gently weeps" featuring prince, but their is only one true guitar king in my view, GILMOUR

  • Come on guys!! Gilmour is GILMOUR - No one does it better. But these 2 are very good!!

  • I'm not sure who that guitarist is but whoever Roger got for The Wall tour was much better. But even he has nothing on David.

  • The guitarist name is Doyal Bramhall 2nd He is a very well respected guitarist , and Is often used by Roger Waters and Eric Clapton and plays with Cheryl Crow. Founding member of Arc Angels and also a member of Smokestack..

  • I miss Gilmour solos, but these guys are great.

  • 1:37 -1:42...GANG SIGNS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I'm sorry but David Gilmour does the guitar solo so much better! No dis to Roger cause I think I his truly amazing!!

  • Love you Roger

    Mr Pink Floyd

  • There is no pain

    you are receding

  • I loved the guitar work. Both Snowy White and Doyle Bramhall had great tone, were sympathetic to the original recording while still asserting their own personalities. Snowy played in the Pink Floyd touring band back in the days before Gilmour and Waters split. It's not like they didn't need extra guitars to pull off their material live. Gilmour usually has extra guitarists too when he plays the same stuff. I love Gilmour. Check Bramhall in the ARC angels, a band he co fronted in the 90s.

  • @merchey1 tell us why does Gilmour still play all of Rogers haunting hits

when he complained about those songs so bitterly before Roger left the band?

  • @DeadJesus100 It would be presumptuous to answer for or explain why David Gilmour chooses to do what he does. I would say that he was integral to the recording of the original. I'd guess that he takes pride in his contribution to it. For whatever strife came between Waters and Gilmour, they created lots of songs that are loved. Bands are harder to keep together than marriages and Pink Floyd was no exception. My motivation to comment is to speak up in support for Bramhall and White.

  • i miss pink floyd so much! i listen to a band UByK now. They are new but they remind me a lot. Check out a song called "work"

  • i cant wait to tonight, gonna watch him in arnhem xd

  • wow, i can't wait till tomorrow.. he is playing in Arnhem

  • Esto no es comfortably numb...

sin david gilmour esto es una rola mas...

  • waters shoud tell "enrique iglesias" how to dress..!!

  • @MrSircharly LOL!

  • check out my attempt of the solo. watch?v=GRD3IqLg9PQ

  • this song is not the same without David!

  • My goodness - lots of vitriolic comments, matches the friction in the band, lol! If anyone's interested - Doyle DOES play leftie, strung rightie, that's obvious . 2. Gilmour's made the song his own without doubt & fair enough. 3. Nick Mason signed my Bank of England cheque at the Royal Albert Hall once - grumpy bugger! 4. My mate was sound engineer at charity gig last year - he's not into Floyd, but admitted to goose bumps. He said Waters/Gilmour got on okay (& that Kate Moss was very pissed)!

  • True Nirvāna ; Prakrit: णिव्वाण

  • AMO!!!!

  • Double the chance to hear some of the great songs these people created!! If one's not in town on any given year, maybe the other will be!

  • Il chitarrista pischello ha classe...

  • @greenhills01010 you dont know what u say Doyle is pupilo of Eric Clapton

  • @greenhills01010 you dont know what u say Doyle is pupilo of Eric Clapton

  • Check out my attempt of this insane solo.

  • meaning no disrespect to anyone, it does not matter how he plays its how good he sounds. he is not replacing gilmore, hes playing an instrument. you can not replace a person. frank miller, god bless all

  • Brilliant !

  • @Dominum Youre so right, no one can ever be as good as Guilmore, there is only one of him. They can try and they can get close, but in reality there is no comparisson..... David Guilmore ROCKS!!!!

  • If Pink Floyd's The Wall music and movie doesn't prove there is a God, (along with everything else in creation and our ability to perceive it)

what would ever convince the perishing?

    Love,

    TheAngel . com

  • @HINCHCLIFFE69 fuck u 2

  • 2 good guitarists still dont quite make 1 david gilmour lol

  • Doyle does string his guitar upside down. He is an amazing talent.

Roger waters should have his nuts cut off with a rusty knife for what he has said about Jews and Israel. Roger is an overrated piece of shit.

  • @DonnyShort1 Okay, so what has he said?

  • if you are a peaceful person how it could be all your friends of your own band leave you? how?

you can't talk against my country about peace - you are not a peaceful person - you just talk about peace for your glory...

i know i'm discusting in english - but for discusting man like you - it's a gift to hear me...

my childwood based on the wall and you are the biggest Shame for the humanity - you are a theif and you look for glory at all...

  • a country that deals every day with 3 different and big religions - and do her best to create peace in her land.

maybe you can lie to the world but you can't lie to me - a man who serve his peaceful country- israel, and by commands did the best he could to not hurt innocent people!

if you are not a thief and you are really the one who really create "the wall" - how it could be you didn't create other beautiful album as "the wall" after your Quarrel with your band when you was alone...?

    how?

  • dear roger waters,

I saw at the tv all the things you said against israel and i have a question -

How man that didn't succeed live in peace with his own 3 friends at his own band - and tried to take the glory from his own band about the creation of "the wall"

    - to himself and said that after all he could do that without them,

how a man like you can talk against the most peaceful country in this little world - israel?

  • Richard Gear plays in Pink Floyd?

  • Doyle is Hero! He plays a left handed guitar stringed upside down as a lefty.

Sometimes even with a right handed guitar. then the tuner knobs are pointing downwards. Insane!

  • Sorry Roger but imma have to give it to Gilmore lol

    It was better over all...

  • He broke my heart

  • Super!!! Pink Floyd razem czy osobno zawsze brzmiał niesamowicie! Muzyka kojąca dusze. Szkoda, że nie będzie reaktywacji.

  • how bad a solo cover can be ?

  • This is really no patch on the original version or for that matter any of Floyd (post Waters) versions. Whatever happened to the second solo??? You can't get away improvising something so iconic. It just doesn't cut it.

  • Comment removed

  • I don't like the solo at all.

  • @gentlejoker Nothing compares to the version done by Gilmour on the P.U.L.S.E. album.

  • The singer doesn't carry the quality of tone David adds

  • @RythmandStrings Roger wrote and sang almost ALL P.F songs

  • @garib92 Ummm......ok?

  • @garib92 Totally wrong, mate. Read a bit more. ;)

  • Słuchajcie? Nic się nie stało. Powstały dwie świetne grupy. Czy warto porównywać? Po co? Wszyscy są świetni. I oto chodzi.

  • @adamg1959

Masz bardzo dużo racji w tym co mówisz, jednak jak tych 2 gości nagrałoby teraz wspólną płytę to by się wszyscy posrali, bo obydwaj są zajebiści :p

  • THIS VIDEO IS TERRIBLE!!!!! only because its so short. WHy can it not be a few months or so long?

  • Roger waters. Is the best you fucking idiot and just because he says what you don't say it does not mean he is a Nazi . How long you want to play that Nazi card ??? F. U !!!

  • cant wait to see him 11th of april in Arnhem Holland

  • GRANDE ROGER......

  • It's good but listening to the solo we realize how good David Gilmour really is... Every single note he's playing is important and he doesn't play "easy note that fall under the fingers" like in the solo of this video (it's still excellent though).

  • Is that the guitarist who play with Clapton ???

  • Concordo com vc...@tteu123

  • when roger went that was it for me still love floyd but no roger no pink

  • "piel de gallina" se dice en argentina... is like a "chicken skin" ja

  • The solo is super awesome. it's just not comfortably numb.

  • Comment removed

  • Yep, I remember my first time ... do you?

  • It's sad that neither Roger Waters or David Gilmour can play this song as a whole now.

Confortably numb only feels confortably numb with both together.

  • offspring of smooth jazz, rock, and jesus

  • I wished Waters & Gilmour burried their differences and got together again for music sakes.........

  • thisi is a great live! Snowy White and Doyle Bramhall II are two great guitarists...but you have to admit that the touch of David Gilmour misses...every time that i sisten comfortably numb without Gilmour, i miss his great solos...maximum respect for these two guitarists, but there's only one person that could make this song a masterpeace, and that man is DAVID GILMOUR
