honestly, ive had 3 beardies, 1 from petsmart, that is 7 years old, a rescue that i think is around 4 years old, and i believe to be a german giant, all i know is she was bought at a pet expo and abused. her cagemate died from MBD, i could not save him and some thought i shouldnt have tried. but ive given my healthy dragons all kinds of things on occasion. a video eating jelly doesnt cause mouth rot, serious negligence does. im sure everyone knows that, im just saying.

I don't see why everyone is saying this dragon has mouth rot when it obviously doesn't, nor does it have MBD (calcium deficiency in it's diet) the first place it would be noticeable is in it's feet and legs because they would be bent. a lot of the artificial crap in our foods is toxic to reptiles and birds.

cane and artificial sugars are very unhealthy for them. as are acidic fruits high in oxolic acid.

I honestly couldn't tell you if that particular jelly is dangerous or not unless i knew the ingredients but some are actually lethal to bearded dragons.

@PoisonbarbL33T There is 2 much info 2 post here. You rly need 2 goto google and look up what a proper diet is. Lettuce in general has poor nutritional value,collards,dandelion, mustard greens, squashes, and small amounts of fruits, there is a lot you CAN feed your beardie and variety is a must.

mouth rot is a bacterial infection of the gums and mouth and cna lead to severe health issues. appropriate heat levels,low humidity and cleanliness will help your beardie avoid this.

No animals should eat human food really. Beardies need a variety of insects for protein and moisture (and fun), after that they need to have vegetables (parsnip, green beans, squash, and other veggies with high nutri value) after that comes mixed leaf greens, and finally fruits as treats or for a salad topping. just feeding fruit and lettuces is not considered "feeding veggies" and they end up lacking in their diet. Adult mice = no, pinkies = once a month, but not highly recommended. ^_^ Seeya

Yes, you can hold a bearded dragon and pet it. Most are very docile and enjoy your company. They do have teeth, but rarely ever bite people. My dragon has never bitten anyone in his whole life, exept for the time when he tried to get a cricke out of my dad's hand and accidentally nipped his finger. It didn't even break the skin. :)
