Onks tää tosiaan eka suomalainen heavy metal bändi? =D Mä luulin että Sarcofagus oli eka suomalainen hevi yhtye.

Sarcofagus kyllä nauhoitti ensin, mutta Hard Rock Sallinen taidettiin perustaa vuos tai pari aikasemmin.

I have the original vinyl, and there is no lyric sheet. This is the best song from the album in my opinion, but the rest is really not very impressive. I think HRS are more a curiosity rather than a "forgotten classic". But of course a part of Finnish Metal History.

Well, the word "forgotten/ legendary classic" is so often used that it has lost all it's meaning anyway. But I ,myself ,have to say, that for me it was a really positive surprise. It gave me much more than I first expected. Ofcourse other Finnish bands of the same era like OZ, Sarcofagus, Ironcross or Riff Raff probably deserve this classic status more than this band. Nevertheless, it is incontrovertibly a milestone band in Finnish metal and a part of the Finnish Heavy Metal history.

All of a sudden I just thought whether someone may had uploaded Sallinen's stuff to tube and there it is! Thanks XE! And thanks Sepe, Juke and Jare for this stuff as well.

I joined Sallinen's road team on early 80's for a few of their gigs as my room mate from college dormitory was their road manager.

They had also another legendary road crew member, whose name was Oka. Never knew his right name, but he was really a funny bloke!

I have no contacts with the members, but my dad was actually in the army at the same time with one of the members. They were in the same company or group, if I recall correctly. The member had a posh american car with "Hard Rock Sallinen" titled in the rear wind window of the car.

I remember having played once with our own band opening HRS's gig in Kaustinen Sport Hall using their gear. I was the drummer and managed to break one of Juke's crash cymbals - shame on me... Fortunately he wasn't that mad in the end.

The lyrics probably aren't too "deep", if you know what I mean, but I'm still interested

Another funny piece of information: Sepe had an interesting voice opening ceremony. After sound check he stood behind his mic, packed his lungs full of air and emptied the air reserves by yelling to the mic like a lion. That was a heavy version of voice opening. I guess :)

I have "some" contacts to band members, becouse singer/bass player is my dad and Juke the drummer is my uncle. Every now and then i go and jam with Juke and couple other guys (blues, rock and some heavy too) Sometimes when im visiting my dad, we put up the jam session there also... sometimes also including my little brother. So maybe there is some "musician gene" in our blood. :)

Minä tein tästä niitä 2CD:n paketteja, jos jollekin niitä kantautunut. Hieman masteroitu ja säädetty jälkikäteen, mutta ei suoraan "master" nauhalta vaan äänitteiltä. (toisella CD:llä oli Live tallenteita, suoraan bändin "C-kasetti oma äänite arkistosta". Ja tuttuja ovat soittajat :D

80 luvulla tehty LP etsii nyt tuottajaa ja kustantajaa master on. Cd pitäis saada markkinoille.

Videon uploadaaja (suom. ylälataaja) esittelee itsensä 18-vuotiaaksi. Ei niin nuori voi olla perillä näin asiallisesta musiikista! Ja mistä tällainen harvinaisuus on ylipäänsä löytynyt? Aikamoinen kulttuuriteko laittaa tämänkaltainen arkistoaarre tänne.

Kyseisen ylälataajan isä täräytti tämän 18.v syntymäpäivän lahjapapereista. Kyseessä on kyllä CD-uudelleenjulkaisu, jossa on myös sinkku mukana. Itse kulutan harvinaisuuksien metsästykseen kuluvan ajan lähinnä vanhan koulukunnan Death metalliin, mutta arvostusta löytyy kyllö myös hard rockille, ja muunkinlaiselle musiikille. Voin kyllä vakuutta, että kyseessä on 18-vuotias mieshenkilö, joka nyt ei vaan satu painelemaan normaalien muotivirtojen mukaan.

Vai on tästä tehty cd-versio? Kas kas. Juuri kun olin toipunut siitä positiivisesta yllätyksestä, että tuiki harvinaisia Iron Crossin julkaisuja saa laaserlevyinä. Mikäköhän firma tämän Sallisen on julkaissut, ja onko tarvinnut tilata kaukaakin?
