    ..."Jagar"

  • Ah,the wonderful, unforgettable eighties and the golden age of MTV.Back in 1983 me and my sister spent the summer sitting in front of the TV watching MTV for hours.Listening to bands like Joe Jackson,Hall and Oates,Journey,Culture Club,The Police,Flock of Seagulls,The Go-Gos,Men at Work, and the list goes on and on.I will never forget those times.

  • There's a bit in a Ben Folds or Ben Folds Five song that sounds like the main riff in this song and I can't figure it out. It's driving me INSANE.

  • GTA VICE CITY!!!!

  • finally sound this song by change drinking Sapporo and ran into this great tone from my childhood

  • I wish the singing was a little more in-key... I KNOW IT'S LADY GAGA AND LIL WAYNE THAT BRAINWASHED MY MIND TO WANT TONALITY!

  • No flashy, jarring beginning, no sudden, jarring end, just smooth all through. Song just seamlessly fades in, plateaus and just as seamlessly fades out. Beautiful to hear!

  • Vice city

  • should have been the thme for Maid in Manhattan ?

  • @withintheblessed Not that I've been listening to it consistently that long but you get it.

  • @withintheblessed This song actually came out in 1982! ;)

  • nice HD pal

  • Ah, the 80's, when people had style!

  • This is my all time favorite song! I remembered it from when I was 3 or 4 and since then heard it once in a great while on the radio or in a store, but never could figure out the name or the artist, it drove me crazy! I would get all hysterical asking anybody and everyone around, what the name of this song was. Nobody knew! It wasn't until 2006 when someone FINALLY told me it was Joe Jackson! Steppin Out is my happy place song =)

  • @trinidad72779 3 or 4....heck I was a teenager (feeling old)

  • @trinidad72779 You are SOOOOOO correct!!! I would listen to this ever-so-often... and NOBODY knew the name of the song!!!! I wasn't until a few years ago that I go to know that this was by Joe Jackson!!!! One of the greatest songs!!!!!

  • @trinidad72779 another song that is a "wonder" is Howard Jones "No One Is To Blame".... THey sure don't make songs like this anymore... And who can forget "Africa" from Toto. Steppin'' Out: truly a "happy place" song!

    Happy New Years!!!!

  • This one demonstated what a music video could be like.

  • We'll leave the T.V. and the radio behind

Don't you wonder what we'll find steppin' out tonight

    - Joe was a prophet!

  • A great song & video. I'm a Zeppelin fan, but, this is very good.

  • tommy vercetti fucks bitches to this song, to this day.

  • this song screams NYC!!

  • 永久不滅に色褪せぬ、ジャンピン・ジャイブのキラーチューン~ジョー・ジャクソン・・必殺”STEPPIN OUT"

  • me encanta es un master

  • Good tune

  • THIS IS MY SHIT! AWW MAN! WORD! THE 80'S! I was listening to something about you and found this. Word dam the 80's was nostalgic. NYC baby!!!

  • Back in those days you could look like a Microsoft .I.T Tech playing a piano you didn't have to have skinny jeans and long shaggy Beiber hair to make you're mark on music

  • Wow, I was actually thinking of a different Joe Jackson song (and I'm still not sure which one it actually is) when I clicked this, but I immediately recognised it as I'm pretty sure it played on the radio station my mom used to listen to when I was a kid in the '80s. Haven't heard it in at least twenty years I think.

  • he sabia q lo encontraria.... el sample de justice en la cancion audio video disco de su nuevo album

  • Such a gorgeous composition.

  • You can't fuck with Joe Jackson.

  • @PrinceOfCicero I'll second that. Can't fuck with Joe!! -EAZY

  • is this song about joe's struggles coming out?

  • gta vice city song masterpiece

  • You know, when you look at Joe Jackson, the first thought that comes to mind is that this guy just doesnt fit the mold of the 80's look but damn, this song is just totally awesome beyond magical proportions! And so it makes up for it all! hahaha :-D But that was the awesome thing about the 80's, any look just fit. It really did. I remember sitting out by the river with my walkman on listening to this song or skating to it at the rink. Best days of my life and best memories. I sure miss it. :-(

  • @thecarebearhideaway I think the look fits to the 80s,its the society look which was also used by the Mexican star Jose Jose or also Julio Iglesias...

  • @platadeluna I agree. If you read my comment I did say that with the 80's any look fit. I was only saying that compared to say, Human League for example, Joe Jackson looks completely out of place when you think of 80's hair, makeup and fashion BUT he is one awesome dude with such awesome songs and he has a classic look which just fits any decade really. :-)

  • Only Pighead and the 80's could make this HORRIBLE song popular anytime anywhere any place you all should be even more ashamed than usual

  • @76devl69 go fuck yourself this song is great

  • The recognizable piano riff ever!!

  • The piano riff was the intro of a local PBS show out of New Orleans coincidentally called Steppin' Out.

  • @atworkstation Sorry, I meant to say "I remember that". Love my n'awlins!

  • always hear this playing over the radio in like every store i go into

  • @RuinedMachines

I don't know what city you live in but I never hear this on the radio anymore and I listen to a lot of stations that play 80s music. Whenever I hear songs like this i think of my dad driving me to school while i'm half-asleep. He always used to listen to the same station that played this kind of music.

  • @Ffollies i hear ya, im in central NJ and every time i go into a drug store or convenience store like 711, CVS, etc. this song always seems to be on.

  • Great song!

  • no video hoes. just class. all class and real music. awesome.

  • @TMBuxton ...Better than "anything" Billy Joel can come up with! although I love Billy too...

  • I'VE BEEN SEARCHING FOR THIS SONG FOR AGES!!!!! I'm SO happy I found it!!!! best song ever!!!!

  • @thtboyneedstherapy He's good (i.e. "My Life" and "Just The Way You Are"), but he's never come up with a riff like that! Lol.

  • The girl has some yay on the mirror at :25

  • GTA vice city !

  • I remember this song from when I was a little kid. I was probably 7 or 8 when this was big. I didnt know who did it, but I'd hear it now and again on the speaker music at the store ort something and it would get stuck in my head and drive me crazy. Fianally, it came on my pop's satellite radio one day and had the artist;s name, and now I can hear it whenever I like! This song is great!

  • @dreekd80 Same thang happen 2 me 2 me recently.....

  • @dreekd80 How funny. Our stories of this song are almost identical! LOL. =)

  • thumbs up if Vice City brought you here....

  • thumbs up if u heard this in the schnuck's near that movie theater

  • This is real music...

  • Who else skateboards?

  • Joe I like your music but you didn't have to beat your little African son, Michael.

  • @stewielove101 It's not the same Joe Jackson as Michael Jackson's father, Joseph ;)

  • im looking at this obama election ad on this vid, and it says "are you in?"... im trying to figure out what it means... it sounds like its asking me if i want to participate, but accepting the goverment isnt voluntary, so it must be asking me if im going to participate in the voting... or maybe its saying if i dont vote, theyre going to kill me... no surely not... perhaps its asking me if im inside my house.. maybe its asking me if im in trouble.. yes, we are all in big trouble

  • I lived in NYC when this video was made.. that's the early NYC 80's ...

  • @mrguystarr I was 6 in NY at the time. This song throws be back sooo much, eventhough I never listened to the lyrics.

  • No words enough to describe the magic on 80's music.

  • ME GUSTA EL VIDEO DONDE APARECE JAPON PORQUE TIENE BUEN SONIDO, LOS DEMAS NO TIENEN BUEN SONIDO, ASI QUE PONGANLO DE NUEVO, NO SEAN ...............M

  • i wish we were back in the 80's!

  • I love this guys song "Thriller" and "Billie Jean"

  • 31 people don't know a good song when they hear it.

  • I was watching the day MTV came on the air and the day Thriller premiered, etc., etc., this is arguably the best music video ever.

  • @rwestber- No way. Dire Strait's "I want my MTV" is the best ever. This is good, and that is a beautiful woman.

  • @jaytonparish ain't you a jackass for calling them jackassIS, "Jackass"?

  • @nivakk no if u hate ur a jackass oh and learn how to spell

  • @jaytonparish I don't have to learn nothing i got my point across butthead! so what, i typed is and not "es" grow up people make mistakes.

  • @nivakk butthead what are you a fag

  • @jaytonparish No, I was trying to avoid terms like "Fag" and "dickweed". Didn't want to come off as some online thug/teenager so...

  • @nivakk what evrs im not calling u a jackass as i like this song and haters like the 31 dislikers come to a page and hate

  • @jaytonparish ...You're doing what many other have. Just because someone -1 a video doesn't mean they hate it. It could be the video quality or maybe the title is mislabeled (wrong version of song = -1)

  • @jaytonparish I won!

  • @nivakk not yet m.r.

  • 80年代、ロンドン主要ヒット、ジャンピン・ジャイブ、ビート・クレイジー・マン、ジョー・ジャクソのかっこいい"STEPPIN OUT"~センスの塊男でしたネ!

  • The 80s - a time when every artist's style was original and they actually played their own instruments. Amazing time for music. So happy I was around to experience it all.

  • @philaman1972 ya me too geez they have no idea how good music was back then :)m50

  • @philaman1972 Born in the 80's, too young to remember its original glory. Now I can't get enough of the 80's sound and magic!

  • @philaman1972 "Played their own instruments"? The 80s was the renaissance for electronica, it defined the era's music.

  • @philaman1972 I find this comment amusing given that there's a drum machine. :) Still like the song though.

  • @philaman1972 i was a sperm cell.

  • @chyman Man... you miss some good music kid... lol!!!

  • @VenetianSymbol not exactly; throughout the years, i have built an impressive vinyl collection. so ive gotten the chance to acquaint myself with some quality tunes, before and after 1984 ;)

  • @philaman1972 You should have seen every decade previously.... this was the end of all that

  • @philaman1972 I bet you play your own instrument

  • Punk, new wave, show tunes, jump and swing, pop, ballad . . . . What can't he do?
