It's a good game. The main flaw in my opinion is that the controls could get annoying every now & then since it's easy for Rad to fall off a ledge if you're not careful. But it's not that bad & the gameplay is pretty good.
@wtcvidman It looks like such a great concept but the game looks not bad per say, but like it was meant to be a full on run and gun/space shooter, it looks good, and i might but it just for the cool intro!
It took me 17 years to beat the game. I got it in 1991 & got to the last planet but couldn't find the boss so I didn't know what else to do & gave up. I also couldn't find the White Armor, the Crystal Bombs, and 2 Energy Units. Then in 2008, I was dead set on finishing it & picked it up & played it again from the start. I found everything on my own except for the Crystal Bombs & one of the 2 Energy Units (the obscurely hidden one on Volcania that I don't know how anyone found).
LOL, I could just imagine Activision making an Evil Dead game & using the Rad Gravity sprites. That would be funny. Having that big smile while being attacked by all those zombies & ghouls.
I disagree. The music is pretty bad, but I definitely like the gameplay. It's a decent platformer that has some pretty difficult parts to figure out (took me 17 years to beat it). The only flaw besides the music that bothers me is the control since on Volcania & other planets it's very easy to fall into lava.
If I were you, I'd buy a new 72-pin connector. That's what I did. I went to Nintendo Repair Shop (there is a website) & bought the connector & cleaning kits with the game-opening tool (& bit). I replaced the connector myself with the online instructions they have & opened & cleaned all my games. They run like they did when my NES was brand new (no blowing on games needed). I'd recommend the same. They also sell batteries for games that use them but those are trickier to replace.
It's a fun but tough game. Maybe your game or NES needs cleaning. I cleaned all my games & replaced the connector of my NES and it's working perfectly now (no blowing on the cartridges is needed).
@wtcvidman is the gameplay on the NES actually as clear as shown in the video? I have always had "flashing" parts in my game every so often! defently when a lot of stuff is going on.
Yes, this is how it appeared on my TV when I played it using my NES (I don't use emulators for walkthroughs). For some reason, when I record my walkthroughs on DVD & then rip them, the background colors appear darker. In my Wonder Boy in Monster World (a Genesis game) walkthrough there was an area that was supposed to have a pink sky but it shows up purple when watching it on Youtube. I don't know if it's the recording or ripping that causes that.
The music on this game is so cool.

89,916 points. A perfectly appropriate number.

This game is a weird mix of Super Mario Brothers 2, Adventures of Link, TMNT, and Double Dragon.

Ok, is it just me, or does Rad look like Bruce Campbell?

Great game, I did beat it, it does have flashing lights and is glitchy often but it doesn't hurt gameplay too much. Underrated game, give it a shot.

I used to play this game in the past. This game is absolutely horrible and total crap. It has the worst in game soundtrack

When I was playing this game, it was all glitched up and I quit playing. Maybe I should try playing it again to see if it's back to normal.

Thanks. I just finally beat this game around the time I posted these videos of it after giving up on it since 1991 (when I was stuck).
