With practice, yeah. Go up and down the octave, then follow it up by skipping one note each, then follow it up by skipping two... then so on...

Your looking for the 3rd, 4th, or 8th note above or below when harmonizing...

@robinson62 this is false you can be taught anything musically. You may have a harder time with it than other people such as those who have intuitive pitch or forms of perfect pitch but it will still be able to come in time.

@robinson62 the ability to harmonize is not a gift, it can be taught, you arent just singing any old note, you are singing a note in that scale once you learn the relationship between different notes in the scale and how they sound you will be able to choose note you want to sing. an ear is a must for being a musician tho. for instance you can stack major second intervals, or you can stack a 5th above or below the melody, or a minor 3rd if you want a minor sounding harmony.
