  • i appreciate the way the guitar is so live and washed with reverb - you really controlled it well.

  • Okay, there is an "after-mix" with reverb, but the final sound/version is really damn beautiful.

  • Absolutely wonderful, Jamie !

This piece for piano is one of the most difficult of Bach.

  • nice to hear this great Prelude of Bach on a steel string!

  • Do you know what JSB wants to tell with this piece of music? So, why you play it in this way? Its cruel. Learn about JSB.

  • I dont like the particular sound of this guitar, but i like your arrangement a lot. You helped me with one particular bar i couldnt get over, thank you for that.

  • needs to learn the guitar ... The sound is the worst she can produce and the reverb is just ugly ...

  • Is this the Dokken version ?? ha ha ha ! Otherwise.... AWESOME ! Great transition..... a little slow.... but with feeling...... nice RH, too ! Grade A !

  • That shower adds nice reverb! Classic!

  • Almost perfect!

  • More cow bell! Naw - really great. When I try something like this it sounds like I'm practicing my scales because I do not experience a normal depth of human emotions as you apparently do. I envy you this capacity. How much do you make per gig? if it's a lot, I could become emotional.

  • C'est la version la plus réussie et la plus mélancolique sur You tube. Bravo.

  • What differs this from many other home made videos is that her notes are very well measured. Not to hard or soft. Each passage is a wonderful interpretation and is filled with life and quality. Great work Jamie <3

  • @antilect Furthermore, it's done on a steel string, which in my opinion, makes it far more difficult to keep steady with the dynamic than on a nylon string. This is just fantastic.

  • shes hot

  • Wonderful !... I can appreciate each note ... And in the end, I got tears in my eyes. Thank you so much !

  • Excellent !

  • Jesus,i got chickeskin by this!played with fire! awsomme!

  • Interesting to hear it played on a steel string Guitar. Id like to hear you play it on a nylon string guitar.

  • beautiful.. love how you play

  • The finest shower music I ever heard.

  • There are no words whit enough meaning for this interpretation ,

Pls Jamie what are the string tunes? is standard tune???

  • Nice sounds.

  • Needs more reverb.

  • Congratulations Jamie, I love your performance and your feeling playing this song. By the way, what are the string tunes? is standard tune???

  • Please, why are you playing in the bathroom? Better sound? Or is it a secret? Thanks... (great playing btw)

  • breathtaking!I needed Kleenex at the end

  • Beautiful resonance!

  • I'm enraptured.

  • The sustain on your guitar enhances the dreamy quality of this beautiful piece, my new favourite clip on YT, thanks for posting!

  • But where is Mr Bach???

  • Wow, Jamie, you really "walk your talk"

  • beautiful

  • This is very pretty the way you play it!

  • Jamie, could you please tell me what that extra chord is doing at 2:12? I've never played the Ave Maria accompaniment and someone once told me many years ago that it is simply Prelude No. 1 from WTC with one extra chord thrown in somewhere. Could this be the chord? Are you playing the Ave accompaniment? I only know that the extra chord you are playing is not in the WTC version. Thanks.

  • Yes, I am playing the "Ave" version with the extra chord by Gounod. It comes from playing for years with a flute player, who played the melody line by Gounod, and also because I really like it!

    Jamie

  • @GuitarPrinciples Thanks. Now if I ever need to accompany a soloist for that tune I'll refer to this video to get it from you. If you have a minute please check out some of my videos. I'm a guitarist/composer. Thanks again.

  • nice rendition!

  • Great version! I like the fact you're playing this on a steel string: really rings the notes!

  • Wow truly chiling..you play from your soul..thank you Bravo!

  • Wonderful performance, truly a great piece of music...can't say the same for your hair-Naw just kidding :P

  • Beautiful! I'd love to be able to play this on my guitar, shouldn't be too complicated. Or is it?...

  • Really nice.

Nylon strings rip my fingernails off all the time, you must have titanium fingernails to do that on steel strings!

    Bravo.

    5 stars.

  • wonderful

  • Wierd; I actually love this version. I have heard this piece at least a 100 times, but this one tickles the end of my nerves in a perculiar way. thank you for posting.

  • Truly Beautiful!

How do you keep the steel strings from

eating the nails off your right hand?
