  • its just cherry bomb extreme with a cat?

  • @gogimarine1 amazingly enough that was not only with cats but STOCK cats, it sounded amazing before I got my hiflows, it is not as loud but loads quicker.

Later on I broke a bolt holding the collectors on the driver side connecting it to the pipes and ended up melting the cats shut, replaced with magnaflow hiflow cats.

Now I am just running with my cutouts open.

  • I drive a 1992 Dodge Stealth does anyone know were can i find a video with Cherry Bomb Extreme Mufflers on a Dodge Stealth?

  • As if some of em disliked that lol!!

  • Thank you for buying American.

  • @bisquik3006 When I saw this thing on Carmax, it was love at first sight, I wanted that truck or nothing at all. My next vehicle is either gonna be a Harley Fat Boy Lo, Forty Eight, or Night Rod. If I don't get a motorcycle it will be a black w/red side stripes Challenger R/T~SRT8.

  • that is such abeautiful sound

  • Boner achieved.... :)

  • @cardiak what kind of engine are you running? and are you running turndowns or tailpipes?

  • @Nbilsky 5.7, in this vid I was running tailpipes. Right now I am running with my cutouts open.

  • is that true duals or single in dual out im gonna guess its true duals and what size piping???

  • @BigRogers7870 true dual and 2.5" with 3" tips

  • when u rev it does it make that popping sound when u let off the gas???

  • @BigRogers7870 when i had the 2.5" tips it made a crappy popping noise, which made me swap those out to the 3".

  • dodge always has the best exhaust no matter if its stock straight piped cherry bombs or glass pack or flowmaster it tops all in my opinion

  • Wow that sound is like those hot rods.

  • Thanks, that is kind of what I am going for, now I just need the HP to back it all up!

  • Im more of a ford guy, but how can i not like this lol. Nice truck.

  • I appreciate the compliment, I like the sound of a few Fords and Chevies around my area. The Titan has a nice note as well depending on the muffler.

But to me the best sound is the ZR1, it absolutely makes my brain melt when I hear it rev up under load.

  • that sounds amazing!!!

  • Thanks, I started up my truck today leaving work, couldn't help but to grin ear to ear!

  • lol im getting those put on my 72 monte carlo

  • You have to put up a video, I love the sounds of the classics as well!

  • got them on my 06 GT,I love them.

  • that truck sounds like it should be on grand theft auto man!

  • HAHA, thanks! I love the truck, and it only gets better as time goes on.

  • how u get ur truck to sound like that

  • JBA shorty headers, Stock Cats (in this video) , cutouts (closed in this video), to a set of Cherry Bomb Extreme mufflers to 3" tips all are 2.5" in diameter. Now I have a set of Magnaflow cats, makes it sound a lot deeper. But still has the growl I like.

  • when you put the magnaflow cats on, did it make it sound any quieter or louder?

  • It made it sound a bit more tame, which is weird, but they definately flow better then the stock cats

  • god that sounds soooo good.

  • Thanks, I always get a smile driving my truck.

  • sweeet bro

  • Thanks!

  • This truck sounds great.

  • Thanks, I love the sound!

  • same mufflers i have on my 06 GT,they sound so great.

  • Thanks, I love the way the GTO's sound, I want that to be my next car, rather hard to choose between them and the new Challengers though. However if Dodge comes out with the redisgned Chargers like t was rumored, no contest.

  • hey can you tell me the whole set-up you have under that

  • JBA shorty headers, stock cats, cutouts (closed in this video), to a set of Cherry Bomb Extreme mufflers to 3" tips all are 2.5" in diameter. Now I have a set of Magnaflow cats, makes it sound a lot deeper. But still has the growl I like.

  • Hey can you tell me how you figure out what size to get or if it matters???

  • If you're askin bout the size of muffler, it depends on w/e fits under and what sound you're looking for. Pipe size it depends on your plans for your application. I had want to get a stroker motor for my truck eventually, ergo I went with 2.5" pipes. Really I could have gone with 1.5-2" pipes dualed out for stock. Dodge's are designed to utilize some of the back pressure to maximize the flow of exh from both banks. My suggestion is to research on forums to figure it out and maximize your output.

  • i agree

  • wow i hope my 5.3 sounds that good when i get my extreme put on in the near future

  • Thanks, I think it will, 8 cyl chevy engines always sounds good. Nice, deep and throaty. IMO can't go wrong with a muffler type.

  • DAMN tat sounds beast. i got an 87 f150 302 i straight piped after the cats. not to loud only thing on its a turndown. i sounds like a magnaflow

  • Thanks, I love the way it sounded here in these videos. It sounds different now though.

  • im gonna guess hteres no cats on there and did you get the single chamber or double?

  • Actually that was with the stock cats, I had them replaced a while back with a set of Magnaflow cats, mellowed out the sound and gave me a small amount of umph.

The Cherry Bomb Extreme is a single chamber design.

  • wow that sounded great and thanks for replyin might have to get that setup

  • Your welcome, I try to reply asap doesn't always happen. Some days I feel more lazy then others.

I kind of regret getting my new cats, it doesn't sound as good as it does in this video anymore. It does have more umph though which is what really counts.

  • I'm ordering a pair of Cherry Bomb glasspacks for my truck tonight, it's a 1982 Chevy C10 with a 350. Will be switching from a full exhaust to what are essentially open headers. Should be loud as hell!

  • Dude that will be an understatement, I can't wait to hear it, post a clip if you can!

  • I'll get 3 clips up, one as it is now (the vids I have now are old and it runs on 8 cylinders, not 6, thanks to 2 bad spark plugs), one with open headers, and one with the Cherry Bombs.

  • That sounds sick ive got these on my 97 sierra.. im running no cats x piped into two single in dual out extremes to quad 5" tips out the corners.. it sounds crazy

  • sick, now there's how every truck/muscle car should sound like.

  • Thanks, I love the way they sound.

  • awesome so its about 80 for a set or just one

  • $80 per muffler, I ordered model # 7426.

  • i have a 04 dodge ram hemi stock excaust i wonder does anyone know if i change my regular muffler for a glass pack or cherry bomb how would it sound thanks ?

  • Dang sorry I haven't responded, I would recommend the CHerry Bomb first. When I bought my set they were close to $80 a pop, so they are not that expensive. My brother got a set of CB Glasspacks for $60-$70 a pop for his Firebird. Those are so lud it just hurts my ears standing behind his car haha.

  • Sounds good man, I went for the glasspack though. :D

  • Thanks, after putting my new cats on, it isn't as loud. Tempted to go with some glass packs to get it back where it was. Only other option I think would be to go with a pair of Aero Turbine 2525.

  • i have a flowmaster 40 on my truck right now and was thinking of going cherry bomb. Would it be much louder than the flowmaster?

  • It will be a lot louder. So far though, cops haven't bothered me about it. Flowmasters sound tame compared to Cherry Bombs.

  • is it a little bit of pop to the sound? but still got a deep growl?

  • When I had the 2.5" tips it had a noticable pop to it, once I added the 3" tips it went away. Now that I have the new cats I don't hear the pop anymore.

  • oh damn i was thinkin of gettin it with a 5" tips on my stock cats

  • Whoa, 5" tips, i don't know about that, try it and see. Most likely it will sound like a diesle. Which would be cool as hell.

Not many people put that large of a tip on. I did consider it though, haha.

  • damn everybody around where i live loves those big tips like that. i mean everybodys truck has em. i think they look pretty good but they were too expensive when i got my exhaust done lol

  • yup lol. i got 3 1/2" now on my exhaust but a buddy of mine is givin me those 5" tips so idk which ones i should get

  • That is awesome, your in a win win situation, only loss of money here would be switching between the 2 tips if you don't like the 5". I would try the ones you have now though. Save the 5" for when you get "bored" with the 3.5".

  • haha hell yeah. thats what ill do. all i gotta do is buy the muffler and get my local shop to switch my flowmaster for that cherry bomb. i think im gonna go with 3" in and 2 1/2" dual out

  • Also the new cats made the sound a lot deeper, more quiet, but gobs more of power.

  • would you recomend me putting a cherry bomb muffler on my suburban it has a vortex v8

  • Absolutely, I love the sound they have. My brother has finally decided to put a set of CB Extreme's on his truck.

  • Sadly I think I am going to have to get rid of them though, I found out tonight that I have blown out a few welds on them, apparently I am rough on mufflers, this is my second set I have blown up, first was some flowmasters. Next set will probably be a pair of Aeroturbine 3030xl.

  • why even have a muffler than?

  • Straight pipe sounds raspy, with the single chamber muffler it sounds way better.

  • yeah, i kinda see what ya mean, i run straight pipe on my 94 chevy, and it probably sounds really close to that,

one question...does it have a bad interior sound, like a dull droning sound at cruising speed?

  • No one has said anything to me about it, and it is not prominent but you can clearly hear it. I can still hold conversations wiithout raising my voice.

  • I am contemplating whether or not I should get a cherry bomb extreme for my Jeep wrangler, because I see mostly pickups have it, but I guess I will have the only jeep with that muffler, because i love sound.

  • Get them, I love them, they are really loud though. So if you don't want loud go with flowmaster or something like that.

  • nasty, u got the farting true dual disease like i use too

  • You should hear them now, the fart is all gone, 3" tips solced that problem. Now it sounds mean as hell.

  • Okay, when will you post another video, let me know. What I did to solve my imbalance in my true dual was run a dual inlet/dual outlet cherry bomb extreme muffler. Half the price, twice as loud, and it equalizes the banks

  • Fart can is gone once I added the 3" tips. The video sound quality is not that great, they do it no justice at all. In person it is awesome.

  • Hemi, although I have to concede the 4.7L sounds a lot better in all counts vs the 5.7L.

  • so this video is with the cherry bomb extremems running all the way to the back, the cut-outs arent open, if so how do u make it so loud!

  • Yeah the cutouts were installed after this video was made. They are loud all on thier own. Something to do with the flow and chamber design.

  • Nice! Did you cut it behind the cats when you put the Cherry Bomb on?

  • The sequence is JBA shorty headers, next is the stock cats, DMH e-cutouts, then the CB's before the axle and 2 tips out the corners of the back. Stainless steel in between them all. True dual set up. Dont have but one video of the e-cutous though, when I first got them on. I keep saying I am gonna make some more, but I keep forgetting to wither get my camera or I forget all together when I am going down the road. The CB's are loud, but the cutouts are ear splittingly loud. Sounds mean as hell.

  • Also it is 2.5" from start to finish, including the tips. Contemplating about going with 3" tips though.

  • HAHA, thanks

  • sounds like a hemi effin' should!
