  • I agree with the earlier comment that the way the announcer introduced Lee was a piss off. But Lee being the gentleman he was, rose well above it and as far as I'm concerned, he stole the show. Can someone post Lee's tune "Road to the Island Forge?"

  • It's a pity, some unfortunately didn't have the opportunity to see and hear the rock side of Lee. I did, for I played drums for him, so I should know.

  • To think that this littleman with a big fiddle started "Celtic Rock." It took so many years for its acceptance, he was the master. I vouch for this man, for I played with him at home, studio and on the road. His jokes made us happy in times of dispair.

  • @pstevens000, I too, am a fiddler with the greatest respect for the talent of Lee Cremo. I wonder though at your comment calling his music "Celtic Rock". I've heard Steeleye Span and other such bands who are neither one thing nor another. Many failed rock musicians think they can be the big fish in a little pond, thinking celtic music is 'easy' and thus ruining both genres.

No, Lee was a truly great celtic fiddler untainted by any rock. I LIKE rock, but rock is what it is. You can't mix them!!!

  • To Shawnyboie and ApotatoWithaGun, he was from Eskasoni and performed all around eastern Canada. He was the type of person who would stop if someone was in trouble or need. The stories of generosity were great and small. Whether it was a lift to a store, or a fund raising for a sick persons benefit. He truly believed his music was a gift.

  • I had the opportunity to jam with Lee backstage at the Maritime Fiddle contest back around 1982 or '83. It was one of the highlights of my life. Great maritime fiddler and personality. Sadly missed but fondly remembered by us all. Thanks Lee.

  • We miss you Lee.
