The first 2 terminator films are some of my favorite movies of all time, they have been some of my favorites since I first watched them many years ago. One well placed shot to the terminator skull from a tank busting gun would have ended the terminator's rampage imo.

@darrylsh It's damn hard to try and infiltrate something, if you weigh more than an average human being of that size. They could detect them just with weight scales alone.. That stupid line from T3 ("This guy weighs a ton") was just so bad writing, you could smell it.

@darrylsh If T-800 would weigh 800 pounds (as you said), the resistance could easily spot them, because they they would weight much more than an average human would. They would measure the weight of each person at the fortified door, and and then would say. "Wow - This guy must eat lead, or he/she is the slimmest obese/fat person alive... or she/he is the terminator!" - Besides, why use mass anyway, when you have a shotgun?

I'm not sure where I got the 800lbs from but in the last movie markus weighed much more than he looked, odviously not 800 but maybe 300 when he should have weighed 200.

@darrylsh Well, T3 and that puke called Salvation are not actually true canon sources, so that point is clear. So T-800 weighs around the same amount, what a muscular (+180cm) guy would. If there are any bikes around, that means that even a bicycle would do! (which would be pretty impossible, if it would weigh *a lot*)

A six foot two, hundred and somthing ponund austrian with a square jaw dressed in a jacket with absolutely no expression on his face whatsoever walks into a cop station and asks to see a woman who's just been hunted all night by a guy who fits the description above and all the cop at the desk can do is glance up at him and tell him to come back later?? WHAT THE HELL?? is he insane? why didn't he notify a superior? wasn't anyone watching the security cameras? we know they're there from T2!

I have the DVD actually, one very minor nitpick there was this sound they played just as the guy is looking up from his desk and sees the car right before it comes through. I kinda liked i actually, even if it's not there anymore

I've seen the movie so many times, that I can never get over the redubbed gunshots in the stereo DVD. I always watch in mono to hear the original sounds.

Same here. I was really dissapointed when I bought the 2000 stereo mix version of Terminator to find the gun shot sound effects had been changed. I mean, why? they sounded perfectly fine in the old mono mix. You can barely hear the sound now as the gun shot sounds are mixed so low. Every time someone fires a hand gun it sounds like it silenced. Weak, weak sound. Still, great movie though. Seen it hundreds of times and it NEVER gets old. One of the best!
