oh great song, thanks for posting this. I grew up in Hingham in the 70's and my Dad had a 45" of this song, which we used to love. We used to ride the T all the time and hoped we wouldn't get stuck on it!!
I heard this song as one of the 400,000+ ppl on the Boston Esplanade July 4th ? '75 during the bicentennial celebration. While we were crammed in waiting all day for the Arthur Fiedler concert they played music like this for us and cheers would go up all over the place. Am glad I could be there. This song has always been one of my favorites. Love what you did with it!
Bess Lomax Hawes, Songwriter and American Folklorist, this is dedicated to your word fame, may it last forever. Rest in Peace.

Just one great song. It is sad That L.A.Radio Stations don't play this great music but instead we get Putrid Disco Music Rammed down our throat.

Brings back lots of memories
I rode the T all the time from Quincy, where we, lived to Park St in the early 70s.
My wife's sister at one time actually lived in Chelsea!
