Oh my goodness! the announcer, whos announcing the awards, is the same guy who was just announcing at the All Irelands this past february and im sure he will be announcing at the 40th Rince Na Cruinne NEXT WEEK! ah! He is also a Judge!

in reply if you look in the history it was the irish who settled scotland thats why or names and or gealic is very much a like and yes we had kilts in ireland there are historic documents to back this fact the jocks have the highland pipes the irish have the war pipe and the galway pipes as there more traditionaly called hope this has enlighted you some without the childish remarks

in that case i have the wrong end of the stick i am from offaly in the republic of ireland and i hated doing irish dancing so your a better man than me lol..but i do think the old ways should be kept up as this was the way we used to do it when i was a child living there

People in Serbia like it so much that irish dance become something like an idea for the advertisement of our Mobile company which moto is "connecting people". It is starting something like irish dance but then it is transforming into serbian national dance "kolo" ("round").

The message is simple - give me your hand (connceting people)!

Yes the kilt (and teasing they got from other non-dancing boys) was a major cause of boys quitting dancing in my era. Sorry to see kilts go but think it was inevitable.

Not true. I haven't seen boys beating down the doors to join Irish dance classes since Riverdance made Irish dance and Irish dance in pants popular. It's much more because of the crazy notion western "civilization" has of dance as an effeminate activity rather than the kilt that keeps boys away.

Almost all the boys I've ever taught have actually chosen to wear the kilt.
