I bought it and really worked a lot on it on changing almost , everything so I was confident on making up to 3 trips to the Peruvian jungle, each one of 3,000 I'm aprox.
But...at the same time I has as a day car a RR 3.9 EFI... :)
Now I just finished my 2nd project, converting my 1988, LR 90, 2.5 petrol, into a (almost) Defender V8, 3.9 EFI, using as a full donor a 1991 RR. :)
Soon I publish it's videos. thanks for your comments.
That's NOT a 1970. A 1970 would be a Series IIA....I've driven a 1970 series IIA SWB for 23 years now, so I know. That is a Series III. It has the plastic front grill, the new-style door-hinges and the parking lights of a Series III. I'd say it is NO earlier than 1973 or 1974.
@pragmaticus123 Dear Pragmaticus: Congratutilations, you are in the right direction.
I bought it as a series IIA, manufactured in 1969, with the metal grill...but since it was corroed and I had the Series III plastic grill, I changed it.
Regarding the lamps, that's what I could find on my local parts dealer... And I did the same with the door hinges.
just like ours, smae colour also soft top but it s diesel powered love this car.... unfortunately it lacks power and gear ratios are very short for sand driving, it feels more happy driving in rocky terrain
I have the exact same landy! 1970 series IIA limestone green.
LOL...except has all the dings and dents of 40 years of off-roading and barely any paint left...LOL.
Every ding tells a story!!
I love Series land Rovers!! Have driven mine as a daily-driver and offroader for 22 years staright and have enjoyed EVERY minute of it!!!! Best 4x4xFAR!!!
Where is it?
Nice Series IIA ...
