NICE!!! those little briggs are so somple its pretty hard for them to not run so good! umm could you explain how you fixed the fuel pick up? i have the same problem with a 3hp Briggs it wont suck up gas idk why...Thanks alot dude!

Yeah, now that I have it running, I'll probably give the whole motor a good cleaning and can take it apart again. Long story short a little copper tube goes down to a little foot. That foot has a extremely fine copper screen that was coated with crap. I used a little pick and scraped it clean, followed by a good washing...I used WD-40, but most any cleaner would work...the more aggressive, the better with this old stuff.

@fordwillkillyou "seafoam" engine fuel treatment about 1tbspoon in tank let it run till its close to empty then add fresh gas.

@72fordmaverick This tank was physically plugged with debris. The inlet screen just needed a good scrubbing. I traditionally soak stuff in Seafoam first given my general laziness to take apart old stuff in fear of breaking something.
