we cannot judge those legends , all the 10 singers are experts ,we cannot say who is better ,it would be true and nice to say they are the top 10 playback singers, no doubt no one is left in this list but among them ranking is absolutely wrong , each of the singer voice is unique and so it attracted all indians but ranking among them cannot be done all are equally talented just the age only gives priority , i think but it is nice to see all legends photos in one video good work
I'm not a correct person to rank someone but my sincere advice please don't try to rank people who have created a niche for themselves. Fingers of our own hand are not of same size, then how can be singers. They are all fingers of Goddess saraswati. No hand is complete without all fingers. similarly music is not complete without all of them. I know no singer personally would never like these rankings. Again this is my opinion. So there can be discussion on it.
S Janaki is truly a living legend. She is simply irreplaceable. Budding singers need to listen to her songs, every song of hers is a gem. Singers like S Janaki will remain in the minds and hearts of all music lovers because she is one of a kind. The legends like her do-not come along ever so often and ever so easily to us.
Now she is leading a peaceful retired life i guess. May god bless her!
Shame on Kannada film industry for not giving S Janaki the due credit for her tremendous contribution to Kannada film playback singing. I am sure she would have easily bagged some 15 state awards from Karnataka.

She has ruled Kannada film music for more than 40 years. In Kannada especially she has sung a record number of solos and duets which will remain in the hearts of all kannadigas forever. She is the best to sing film devotional songs in Kannada.
