@JBoston923 It was red, but I took the paint off with a sander. That's just the wood. I'm getting it painted right now by a friend of mine though.

did you raise the action at the nut as well as the bridge? if so how much? I'm building a 2 string slide bass, no frets so I don't have to worry about fretbuzz but still haven't figured out how high the action really needs to be.

Nice cover man, I too have a Morphine bass, but i use an A string tuned up to a D and a G to an A. Id like to see some more morphine covers from you. You at least have the main part of Empty Box =]

wow you have too many strings on that bass slow down a bit:) its funny how some like to use basses with 9 strings but their music sounds like shit even though you can create great songs using only two strings
