Hi I was watching your video, I have a neptune mixer powerd 610p but is broken and I wonder if the few schematic diagram of the amplifier, if you would greatly appreciate you could provide me
Show more of the spring thing you made - that thing was fantastic!
I hate it how everyone has to moralise sound, like there are some combinations of frequencies that are not good together. or that anything without a 4/4 rhythm is "BAD". That's the equivalent of saying, "You may wear a shirt and trousers, but never green and red."
anyway, I enjoyed that - didn't care too much for the mixer but cool nonetheless.
not to be rude but, why take a warm analog mixer with old-school reverb and run horrible unmusical noises through it? then why make a video of said horrible noise to demonstrate the analog warmth of the mixer?
What the hell? I cannot understand any of this...Do you just need some broken equipment and make noise? What do people get from this emotionally? Is it rage? Is it a protest on typical music?
There's no broken equipment here. The Neptune is a marvellous mixing machination which should never be desecrated. What you're hearing is, regretfully, my own incompetence at making good music. I must surely be "not all there"! Or else it is merely a failed study in staccato resonance. Forgive all this.
Dan - it's so great to see the Neptune again! I got it in 74 and I can see it's in good hands. It isn't the music I make, but it's the music you make! So keep up the good work! I'm proud of you!
awesome! hey, you don't perchance know anything about neptunes's 826 sound reinforcement mixer, do you? haven't found any info on it yet, its preamps sound great...
I haven't heard of this Neptune 826 curiosity. Do its preamps sound great=great or great=grate (i.e. grate=sick)? The latter offers higher romance, methinks. Tangentially, I did see a beautifully grotty Neptune 410P mixer on ebay awhile ago.
Hello Vi3tSurviv3r, that's an interesting question and contemptuous statement. It's not so much a question of 'what kind of music' is that, but 'what kind of noise is that' (hence the title clearly bears 'noise'). The answer to this is that it is the barest acoustic electromechanical freeform. Indeed, it must be said that this kind is the most likeliest to impart a sense of temporal angst perhaps borne of residual memories of machine-labour and its lack of enlightening conclusions or something.
There is nothing quite like the sharp and haggard blare or fucked up analogue signals. Dr.Roberts would be proud. I await your musical fruits with baited breath, like a child on a quiet christmas eve.
BTW, I think next time, you should use real music instead of this stuff that we don't care about. What type of music is this? Next time, post videos that everyone can watch.
I was wrong about the worm video, this one is the worst yet. No one wants to hear this stuff. All we hear is noise. Let's see something better than this. How about Animal Music Part 1.
i love your sounds there so absoloutley industrial its fantastic ..anyway you shoudl sample thjis stuff layer it and make more cohearent tracks from it thats fantastic
ps ..and its realy dramatic woo! i nearly died laffing there haha ace.. im so glad im english i dont think the yanks will find it as funny :)
you know, occasionally i find some resonance or structure in your noise/projects (eg 2;38+ in this video), and its somewhat pleasant. i think that most of what youve made is a bit too harsh-sounding for my tastes, though. bit unfortunate, since i tend to like your ideas.
Dan! I've bee-n meaning to send you another of our bi-annual love letters. It's absolutely comforting to see (hear) you're still hurting us with the aural equivalent of a cheese grater.
