if it goes crazy, you can always get some green stuff and plaster some pennies or smal; extra pewter bits oh and since the sa gun has about as big of a model as a dreadnaught, depending which one, you might be able to use quarters which comes in handy for post game drinking games. gamegamegame. good luck!
that's stupid, why not use a motor that is from a remote control helicopter, cast the spinning piece in a lighter plastic or resin, then it will spin slower AND not look like he has a giant box in front of him.
hey dude i know what u should do put like a rubber gripping pad on the bottom of the base u know like they use for keeping like chairs and couchs to the floor and stop them from scratching and moving on the floor.
lol!!! but... personally I would want it running 1/3 that speed to show off the paint work, AND avoid any "accidents" with other figs. very orky, Kudos!
Id like to see it running on a table and pinging models away.
I sugest lowering the voltage to that thin. I know that you only have once cell but maybe give it a dead battery. Should have enough current to still spin and it wont go mental!
I had to do a similar thing where I handed in an art peice which had loads of cut up servos spinning a load of fake gears. At full current it looked scary so I just discharged the battery and sorted. Looks nice though!
try using a servo remove the potentiometer so it will continue to rotate rather than a back and forth motion you can buy a small one and a small reciever disguise the parts as ammo crates or debris
doing it this way will give you the ability to control its speed and allow remote operation while on the battle field
i intend to use remote controls on my Ork outpost just because i can
Awesome! That's a really neat little diorama. Now add some LEDs, bwahahahaha!
If you wanted to stop it spinning (the whole model, that is, not the whirly-bitz), maybe some lead weights stuck under the base, or a few rubber pads to increase grip on the playing surface?
Great job! Youz a right proppa mek, you iz!

You should try those little cell phone motors that they use for the vibrations.. mini motors... that look even better!
Well done.

It's preety neat that it spins but there is a bunch of bulky shit that's required to get it going. Mind as well have stuck with just the standard.

Take some quarters and or a piece of sheet metal, and glue it to the base. [underside]
BlackLegionPainting 3 years ago
orks at there best, add some bb's to the base bottom and that should add some signifigant weight to keep it from moving so much

N sized battery?
hah He looks like hes holding a ginormous fan.
and you can fix the "going crazy" by adding so major weights underneath and on the base.
