working at a bar with youtube connected to speakers, i played this and every1 gets their beers hugs each other and starts danceing like the russians do in the old times LOL
i always want to get up and dance. or i feel as if i should go on an adventure to an unexsistant planet when i hear irish music. it sepperates you from the rest of the world.
its nice but god a smile wouldnt go a stray,if they sat down at a table and had friends around them and had no notes in front of them it would be ten times better
I love this. It is neat how they use Morrison's jig to separate each jig played. I recognize every single jig in this medly I just can't remember the names of them!
Celtic music is one of my very favorite types of music. :) I will say that the penny whistle player needed to practice more though!
Nice job. The bodhran player clearly has no idea how to play a bodhran. Do yourself and a favor and buy a CD on how to play and learn the right technique!
I enjoyed your music. I've always liked Irish music. Too bad I can't see you guys in person (I live in the U.S.). If you like you can find my video on YouTube, under Wayne Weberpal. Good Luck with everything! Wayne Weberpal.
You found a matching piece ! Slàinte or Slàinte Mhath is commonly used as a drinking toast in Scotland and Ireland. Sometimes it is corrupted into "Slanj" which is quite close to the original pronunciation. It means literally "Good Health" (Wikipedia)
you can find this song under 'blackthorn the lonesome boatman/follow me up to carlow'its defo wurt checkin out the music is class and the bodhran is even better.woohooo
I have some Irish in me and I AM PROUD OF IT. My ancestors used to own a castle in Ireland. They gave it to their butler when teh left for the U.S. during the potato famine. I love Irish music!!!

I play Viola, and have always been interested in learning to play Irish and Scottish music. please tell me if you know somewhere that I can find good fiddle music written for the Viola!!!
The viola (French, alto) is a bowed string instrument. It is the middle voice of the violin family, between the violin and the cello. The casual observer may mistake the viola for the violin because of their similarity in size, closeness in pitch range (the viola is a perfect fifth below the violin), and identical playing position. However, the viola's timbre sets it apart: its rich, dark-toned sonority is more full-bodied than the violin's.
