First off you're probably getting that confused with Ibra who was a goalie at his youth club in Sweden. Cesc was never a goalie, he was always a playmaker, he played in the same Barca youth division as Messi and Pique and they frequently won their matches by 4 and 5 goal margins.

@sadin000 perpetuating more Arse'n'ole fan myths I see. Do a little research and you'll find Barca were well aware of Cesc's talent and wanted him to stay. It was Cesc who doubted he would get much of a chance with Xavi and Iniesta plus others at the time ahead of him for a place in midfield, thus wenger was able to bend his ear when he "bumped into Cesc" after a Spain U19 match (Barca wouldn't even let AW lurk into Camp Nou)
