I thought I was the only one that taped the anthology in 95 lol I left the commercials in because i didn't want to run back and forth to the vcr, now I am glad I did. thanks !

@jsilence418 Nope you weren't the only one, lol. Unfortunately only my Anthology 2 VHS survived, but I take good care of it now, commercials and all, lol.

I still have all three of my tapes of Anthology I recorded too!! I can't believe I was eight when that aired.

Unfortunately, none of my tapes have the commercials on them. We stopped the tape when they came on. Now I wish I kept them in, oh well. Thanks for this though.

Awesome, what a great time that was when the Anthologies premiered. And it's not the same without the original commercials.

Btw, The Paley Center for Media in LA and New York has Anthology 1 with the original commercials!

So did you record the Anthology as well? It was a different edit than the actual released version (not just timing wise... it actually had stuff that didn't make it to the long version). It'd be cool to see that version again.

Yep, I have both the Anthology and its commercials as originally aired in November 1995. I'm absolutely shocked my tape has made it this far.

The commercials/promos, at least. I won't upload the entire special itself because of time, legalities, and the fact that the 10 hour cut is already available.

I have the Anthology as aired on ABC, too. Unfortunately, some of the commercials have been edited out, and some of part 3 is unseen because either me or my sister kept changing the channel during it. :)

Ah yes, the good old days when VHS tapes were $20+ much of the time. You couldn't pay me $15k to take a Contour!
