  • Hi Robert. Yes I saw them. I have to play this song in a few weeks and havent picked up a harmonica in years. Wanted to make sure which on it was before I bought it

  • Does anyone know what key Harmonica Bob plays on the studio version of this song? Thanks

  • did ya read all the old comments about whether its was an A or E harp...

  • guys who gives a shit what key the origional harp or what chords bob used! this man has done his own version... he is not bob dylan he is an individual, and has done a bloody good rendition of this classic song! good on you buddy keep it up !!!

  • he actually used a A harp in 2nd position but not but harmonica players should know already know that a harp has more than one position a goes to e, f goes to c etc

  • Best hangdog rendition ever!!

  • Thanks. See ya.

  • Can you please tell what's the Harmonica tune and witch notes do you play on it.

    Thank's reply fast please.

    NB : Nice work ;)

  • Merci... it was a "C" harp - Bluesband or Lee Oskar i think... played thru holes 2-3-4 (D-E-F.. i think)... blow-blow-blow-draw, then fake it... sorry i'm not a musician... just tried to make it sound like the original Dylan sound... bonne chance avec tous... hope to see your video when its ready...

  • it was actually an E harp with a capo on the 4th fret with different chords.

  • your right... thats what Dylan used, but I didn't have an E harp so faked it with the C harp... thanks for your comment hippie...

  • haha! thanks! nice touch though, trying to work around. you did exactly what dylan would have done!

  • its in A not in E

  • i'm sorry, but it is, indded, in the key of E, so you would indeed use an E harp.

  • I have an E and a A, the E harp works for every chord when you use a capo on the 4 fret, it match cause like you say its in the key of E but you can also play it with an harp in A , you cant play the solos of the studio version, you need a lower key.. A. check the cover of coldironsbound82 he play the solos a bit like dylan with and A harp, me too, the A harp have the notes of the solos see ya

  • That was amazing man! Very good job...

  • thank you, thank you...

  • my favourite dylan song my friend, very good,do you think you could teach me how to play it,asi like song very much, your help woul be appreciated, thank you

  • of course i'll help... the chords are:

    C G Am F

    C G Am F

    C C7

    F C

    E Am

look on the web for the complete tabs... message me back.. i will help until you play this song better than me,...

  • I like this version, because it has the special "age" that Dylan had in his younger years (sound crazy, I know).

It's much too loud, I don't know the english word. It's so loud that the sound crashes. I hope you know what I mean.

I would really like to hear more from you, but not so loud ;-)

  • thank you... i'll work on loudness...

  • please rate and comment... thanks... robert0531...
