World competition level (at that age, anyway)! Congratulations. BTW: How tall are you? Should be really short for that age/bodyweight/bench combination. I guess (wildly) 5'5" or less.

  • Those are 55s. Red plates are 55s, blue are 45s, and yellow are 35s.

  • He is actually pressing 402. The red plates are 55's the bar is 45 and the clamps in comp usually range from 7-10 lbs add the chips on the side and it adds up.

  • If thats with a bench shirt, that's not as impressive as it looks =\. Judging by the way he almost pulls the bar down to his chest then rockets it back up, it probably is with a benching shirt.

    A guy at lifting competition I went to with my highschool's football team last year almost busted his head open trying to bench 450 with a shirt on. His form was terrible and he brought the bar down over his head. Lucky the spotters were there.

  • for this kind of heavy powerlifting you want to do reps of no more than 8 unless youre like warming up. I do pyramids from what i rep for 8 to what i rep for 2 and then back down. But be sure to work your back muscles, alot of pecs, alot of tri's and basically just everything. The key really is is to just work for it
