@WaiWu The SLR roadster does not come with a hard top convertible, and if it did, it would ruin the handling and acceleration with all that extra weight.

Hard top convertibles ruin cars performance, and when you're buying a supercar, performance should be a factor. You can your boulevard cruising slow SL500. I'll take my SLR with a fabric top and smoke your doors off.

@WaiWu Haha, chalk it up to a difference of opinion I guess. I'd probably like a hard top convertible more if it didn't weigh so much more. But this soft top roadster isn't even noticeably slower than the hard top coupe. So you get all the performance with the ability to take the top off. Something that really couldn't be accomplished with a folding metal roof. But anyways, there are quite a few people that still like folding soft tops. That's why they still make them.
