  • I agree with BigDuck. Any advice on how to get good a chickin pickin?

  • not bad but sarah jory would kick ur ass

  • @bargatebomber I've heard the great steel pickers all the way from Don Helms who was from a little town about 6 miles from me in Alabama up to contemporary steel guitar players and NONE of them can "kick Daves ass", as you so colorfully put it. Get over Sarah Jory being female. Yes, she is prettier than Dave.

  • This is what you would expect from Center stage at Opryland or Ryman. Amazing talent and performance.

How did you get to this point, Is it country music in God's country as well?

  • Farrrr out man you da bomb so bloody good it aint funny Yup I dont buy discs I just listen mostly to my own music that I create but you make a disc and Ill buy it and move it on here in good old New Zealand

  • I don't know if you've done it or not yet, but you really owe it to yourself and the rest of us to put out a full length recording of pedal steel instrumentals. If you have done that, please let me know where I can buy it.

    You really are somethin else!

    Marcelo Maya

  • P-U-R-E G-E-N-I-U-S as usual!!!!

  • I'd just Love eto try and Play along with my Guitar!! Awesome Sound and Playing!!!!!keep them rolling Dave

  • absolutely excellent as usual. Nice job Dave

  • My initial thought was I liked the previous version better so I went back and checked all 3 previous versions. Delay pedal explained, then ver. (1), then ver. 3, then ver. 2 is the one I think is best. Somehow in version 3, the "train whistle/horn" effect just doesn't sound realistic, more cold/half-hearted especially at 1:59 into the video. From 3 minutes to the end the notes just seem to be way too staccato like you couldn't wait to get to the end. I like all 4, My favorite is ver 2.

  • Pick on that gutiar son!

  • Hi Ya,

I don't post on every video you put up as there is only so much one can say before one starts repeating oneself but I have watched every one of your videos more than once. I have also referred your postings to a ex session guitarist friend of mine who absoluetely loves pedal steel. He is blown away by your talent. Here is yet just another example of your wonderful work.

I very much enjoyed your Farewell Party tribute to your dog. Sad to hear about that.

    Cheers, and keep them coming.

  • AWESOME!!!!

  • No doubt, one of the greatest pedal steel guitarist of our time. Seriously.
