I wish to thank you all for your comments to my youtube broadcasts. It is very much appreciated. I do try and contact you all personally if there's any questions that I have been asked, and I also make note of all your requests too. I have some great ideas for future videos and I will try and play some of your requests also.
David you are my favorite steel player. I play bluegrass here is the United States, but my favorite instrument has always been the steel guitar.. Keep em comin.
@bargatebomber I've heard the great steel pickers all the way from Don Helms who was from a little town about 6 miles from me in Alabama up to contemporary steel guitar players and NONE of them can "kick Daves ass", as you so colorfully put it. Get over Sarah Jory being female. Yes, she is prettier than Dave.
Dave if you're noy playing professionally you need to have yore butt kicked up onto your shoulders!!! This has to be one of the very best versions of one of my favorite songs!! I'd like to hear you play "Wabash Cannonball"!!!Fifty stars on this one!!
hi dave..am african teenager and you have moved my heart....i still i have a passion in country music..and u got what i have been looking 4..Great work and be blessed
Farrrr out man you da bomb so bloody good it aint funny Yup I dont buy discs I just listen mostly to my own music that I create but you make a disc and Ill buy it and move it on here in good old New Zealand
I don't know if you've done it or not yet, but you really owe it to yourself and the rest of us to put out a full length recording of pedal steel instrumentals. If you have done that, please let me know where I can buy it.
My initial thought was I liked the previous version better so I went back and checked all 3 previous versions. Delay pedal explained, then ver. (1), then ver. 3, then ver. 2 is the one I think is best. Somehow in version 3, the "train whistle/horn" effect just doesn't sound realistic, more cold/half-hearted especially at 1:59 into the video. From 3 minutes to the end the notes just seem to be way too staccato like you couldn't wait to get to the end. I like all 4, My favorite is ver 2.
I don't post on every video you put up as there is only so much one can say before one starts repeating oneself but I have watched every one of your videos more than once. I have also referred your postings to a ex session guitarist friend of mine who absoluetely loves pedal steel. He is blown away by your talent. Here is yet just another example of your wonderful work.
I very much enjoyed your Farewell Party tribute to your dog. Sad to hear about that.
