If they're not going to remake it completely, they could at least release the original in 1080p...and make a version for the PC that isn't worst than the PSX version. (still my all-time favorite game)

But its weird, I cant find any new versions of Jenova, or sephiroth, or Red 13 or caith sith...Isnt that weird? one of the most popular rpgs of all time and nothing beyond this video as evidence of its remake. This one was just to pull on the fan-base's patience and get them all excited.

They didnt want a repeat of the Final Fantasy 6 Incident, after all (it was a battle demo with very weird controls meant to showcase what their planned N64 games wouldve looked like in their initial stage, before the CD Divergence.)
why would square not just remake the fucking game!?
they will make millions from a remake, and the ps3 sales would rapidly increase if it was exclusive to playstation. It was one of the best games ever, and people just want to be able to play it on a more advanced console. Not tryin to troll or anything but nothing square has made since ff7 has been REALLY good. ff8 was good imo, but not better than 7. I just dont understand what they are thinking. Are they scared of ruining a classic?

im not gonna lie, i would LOVE for FF7 to be remade (even though I dont own a PS3 and probably wont) but if they did i would still buy this then it would make me buy a ps3.
but i would rather it if they at LEAST resold the original game again kind of like they are doing now with FF 1,2,4,5,6,8,9 I would rather have that version because you know, Steve Burton has a gay voice for cloud
I know this was eight months ago, but tell that to Killzone 2. If that much effort were put into a project like this, this would be real time quality.
