Then in the effects loop i just run a bit of delay.

In total maybe 30 minutes. I downloaded the backing track, read the progression off of Laurie's competition video, waited till the next day (it was getting late), went over it a couple of times to get the feel for it, then recorded my improvisation.

@guimetal666 Thanks! I'm using a Budda Superdrive 45 II head with a Voodoo 4x12. It's being mic'ed using a Shure SM57.

If you already have an SM57, I would suggest getting an SM27 as a condenser. It's a great sounding microphone, and I've been using it for all my new acoustic stuff.

As for plugins, I would recommend getting EZDrummer, it's a great tool for any songwriter of any genre.

now, give me an info.

1) what pick are you using ? .mm?

and something more difficult.

2) I have a PRS sunburst 22. Can you measure the gap on the 12th fret between the FRET and the string?

3) Do you experience some problems on the PRS 22 when you hit upstrokes? Because mines has a weaker tone when I play upstrokes and its not my fault for sure, so I got I weaker tone and less volume when up stroking.

1.)I'm using a green (.88mm) Everly Star Pick.

2.) I really don't have a way of measuring that accurately. There is really not much of a gap.

3.) I haven't had that problem with mine.
