  • We all know what the Rabbis do. They can at any time get in a big huddle, and come to a sudden agreement, making a majority opinion, and come out and say "Jesus is the Messiah" and then all Judaism has to accept it, because all this time, the Jews were subject to the consensus of the Rabbis, and that is the way the cookie crumbles. Judaism does not belong in a democratic society because it is purely dictatorial propaganda fed to people who then are in a "Herd" mentality. "Occult"

  • Jesus of Nazareth is the King of the Jews, The King of Israel, The King of Kings, The Son of God, The sin bearing Messiah, and the only hope for the Jewish people and humanity. You can crucify me too, Ill confess that forever. No Jesus no Peace Know Jesus Know Peace.

  • We should be strengthening bonds with Islamic s not wacco Christians. Islam recognizes One god only & dialogue could & would bring about peace.

Stay away from evangelicals, there not to be trusted.

  • The canon is closed. The TaNaKh canon was closed with the books of Ezra and Nehemiah; the Brit Chadasha canon was closed with its final book, Revelation. Revelation 22:18,19 warns us not to add or take away.

  • @oldlite

The Bible was closed waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay before Jesus and the NT! Like when Prophecy ended when the last of the Prophets of the Second Temple Era died. Read Josephus darling.

  • @oldlite

Furthermore, your NT was written in GREEK 4 God's sake! Not the Holy language of Hebrew in which God created the world! A sure proof that it's a false book! And in case u didn't know, the Muslims believe that their KORAN (an "improvement on YOUR New Testament) is the last and absolutely final addition to God's Bible! So who do you believe, you or them? I choose neither because the canon was already final by the time Jesus came along & was closed by those same Rabbi's we listen to.

  • @judaicaman007 Yes G-d does work in great and mysterious ways, If it wasn't for the Greek language the gospel could not have spread so fast. Most everyone spoke Greek in the ancient world. Thank you for reminding me of this fact.

  • @oldlite

No problem! Did I mention -according to your impeccable logic- that English is also a Holy language (ask the Mormon Church) and Arabic (ask the Muslims)! Do I hear a call for Sankrist?

  • Comment removed

  • @judaicaman007 I look at it this way. The New Testament for the Christians which includes the Messianic . The Torah for the Jews and the Koran for the Arab Muslims. I think it was planned this way by g-d Himself. Just as He had brought down the Tower of Babel and scattered the people, the same with religion. No man can know the mind of G-d, but sure we can conjecture and guess and never get close to know how He ordered things. I do know this prophecies are being fulfilled.

  • Then there is the "Bedikat Chametz" ceremony. Basically this is the practice of sweeping the house thoroughly and searching out every single crumb of leaven so it can be removed/destroyed. Not only is the entire home searched, but all pans, dishes and utensils which may have touched leaven are kashered -- whether through immersing into boiling water or by passing a blow-torch over items to 'burn off' any microscopic leaven.

  • Non-believers are quick to assert that almah means "young woman" here -- to discredit the prophecy that Mashiach was "born of a virgin." However it seems obvious that in biblical times a young unmarried Jewish woman was assumed to be a virgin. The sign of Mashiach's birth was a miracle -- a virgin birth -- a child without an earthly father. Young married women giving birth would hardly be a sign -- it would be commonplace.

  • May I also suggest you do a search on Youtube for "Robin Williams Jesus Life" and listen to the first few minutes. I think you'll really understand the ridiculousness of this NT "biblical" theological idiocy.

PS You may laugh if you wish, God will not punish you, I promise ;)

  • @judaicaman007 It does not matter if jesus was born of a virgin.

  • WHAT!!! A FUNDAMENTAL THEOLOGICAL POINT OF CHRISTIANITY! Both Protestants & Catholics & their 1001 varieties of Xtianity believe in this idiocy BECAUSE IT'S IN THE NEW TESTAMENT A DIVINELY INSPIRED Book! And little ol oldlite says "it doesn't matter"?!!!

You got guts kid! jesus is gonna put in the fires of hell for a few hours (years? eternity?) for not believing in his religion!

My point is if virginity (and your NT Bible) is nonsense, so is believing in a man-god.

  • @judaicaman007 Jesus never claimed nor Mary ever claimed he was born from a virgin. I tend to believe he was but it doesn't matter. In one of the gospels God said after he was baptized " This day I have begotten you."

I may not be that scholarly but I know how to read. Besides I am sure you know more about the Torah than what the Christians have as their bible, however if you are reading our bible good for you please continue.

  • @judaicaman007 the Hebrew word is 'ALMAH which translates as ' young maiden', same thing as a virgin since Joseph would not have married being a traditional Jew. If the Jews had kept the laws, which they did not, Mary would have been put to death for not being a virgin. Jews can speak out of both sides of their mouth just like Christians. Hardly a Jew alive that is keeping all 613 commandments as set forth by God nor hardly any Christian alive practicing what Jesus taught.

  • @oldlite

    Dear Whoever u r,

Almah is NOT the same as Virgin! I KNOW HEBREW, U DON'T! U r a close minded fundamentalist whom even Christian scholars today admit the King James translation in Isaiah was WRONG & that it was translated as such to prove a THEOLOGICAL pt. which HAS NO BASIS IN THE TANACH!

The rest of your insane rant makes no sense so I suggest u learn either logic or your Bible again. As 4 Jews keeping 613 commands, it's IMPOSSIBLE TO BEGIN WITH SINCE THEY DON'T APPLY TO ALL JEWS!

  • @judaicaman007 Almah is first found in Genesis 24:43, "behold, I stand by the fountain of water; and let it come to pass, that the virgin/almah that cometh forth to draw, to whom I shall say: Give me, I pray thee, a little water from thy pitcher to drink;" . Rabbis agree Rebecca's virginity was understood here.

  • @judaicaman007 In Exodus 2:8 "And Pharaoh's daughter said to her: 'Go.' And the maiden almah went and called the child's mother" (maiden meaning Miriam -- Moshe's sister -- still a child herself). Rabbis agree this one can mean virgin too.

  • @judaicaman007 The egg (at best) represents rabbis adding to G-d's Torah by including a temple offering remembrance; and (at worst) the egg represents the goddess Ishtar and pagan fertility rituals. Drop the egg from your observance. Passover only needs to commemorate Israel leaving Egypt,

  • @judaicaman007 Remember, this is all done while a closetful of 'sold' leaven is kept safely hidden within the home! If this isn't a case of straining at a gnat but swallowing a camel, I don't know what is.

  • @oldlite

There is a concept in Jewish and secular law called "legal fiction". It is all within the "Spirit of the Law", something which u Xtians r always crying about but never seem to care to understand or appreciate when it's there.

May I also remind you the words of your man-god who said (and rightly so): "listen to what they (the Rabbi's) tell you...for they sit on Moses's seat". So what's your excuse for being a "loving" anti-Jew/semite?

  • @judaicaman007 lol..are those the same Rabbis he called vipers?

  • @oldlite

You'll have to ask jesus, he's he one who said it. I assume he was talking about Gamaliel and his colleagues whom I follow to this day and also him. YOU DON'T.

  • @judaicaman007 In Song of Solomon 1:31 and 6:8, Rashi makes almah mean "virgin." That fits. Yet in Isaiah 7:14, Rashi tries to say almah means young woman without virginity being implied. That is quite contrary to how he interpreted the same word in Song of Solomon. Further Rashi acknowledged that other scholars of his day did understand almah in Isaiah 7:14 to mean "virgin."2

  • @judaicaman007 Probably one of the strongest argument for almah meaning "virgin" is that when the 70 rabbis translated the Septuagint (around 2nd century BCE) they translated almah as parthenos ("virgin" in Greek). There were perfectly good Greek words for young woman, but note, the rabbis chose the word for "virgin. So if modern Judaism wants to debunk almah by saying it can't mean virgin, we see this is newer thinking and almah was understood to mean "virgin" -- even in Isaiah 7:14.

  • There was/is NO SUCH CONCEPT AS THE MESSIAH BEING BORN OF A VIRGIN! It is pure paganism which appealed to pagans who were taught this in the ancient world (and to you ever since u were a child and saw all those cute animated films on television that you think it's a NATURAL, BIBLICAL concept). It is a disgusting, morally offensive twisting of Tanach (admitted by today's THINKING & HONEST Christians).

Is it sooooooo difficult for you to realize that jesus never believed this either?!

  • @judaicaman007 You are a sick bigot. No this concept is clearly in the OT and to suggest it is somehow offensive is itself quite offensive! Shame on you.

  • @zinpgh

It is YOU who is a sick pagan, and let me PROVE it to you in a logical manner (I admit this may be difficult for a Xtian 2 believe).

If this concept of a virgin birth is so Biblical, why didn't jews in the time of jesus believe it if it's in their very own Scriptures? The Romans, Greeks, Egyptians, Babylonains etc ALL believed in virgin births for their gods! It would've been so much easier & say "hey we believe that too!". BUT THEY DIDN'T! Because IT'S DISGUSTiNG!

  • @zinpgh the Hebrew word is 'ALMAH which translates as ' young maiden', same thing as a virgin since Joseph would not have married being a traditional Jew.

  • @zinpgh No he is not a bigot but a very disheartened Jew who has had his fill of lying missionaries and lying Christians. Try your best to love your fellow man as you would love your own brother for the Lord has placed all of us on this earth that we might prosper.

  • Mary was engaged to be married at the time to Joe. In BIBLICAL tradition, any relations with a woman like that is considered ADULTERY!

Of course God can do whatever and to whomever he wants, but he/she CAN'T LIMIT him/herself and NOT BE GOD. God can also NOT go against the Word which He wrote in the Bible. To do so would make his entire Torah a mockery, and an example to mankind.

Also, WHY IN HEAVENS NAME did Xtianity develop a NON-EXISTENT theology in the Hebrew Bible & use PAGAN ideas?!

  • Well now if G-d can do all things, that nothing is impossible for Him to accomplish then it would be no big thing for Him to create a fetus inside a virgin. In fact it was probably easier to do that than to create man out of the dust of the earth. Almah translated as a young maiden. I would think a young Jewish maiden would be a virgin especially one who had found favor with G-d. I myself would not put limitations on G-d's power. Man is not at the top of the food chain as he thinks he is.

  • @oldlite

    see my comments above, enjoy!

  • Notice how these missionaries TWIST my words into saying that I said that CHRISTIANS are EVIL when all I said was that MISSIONARIES are (and I didn't say ALL either!).

Fact is, it is THEY who always build a straw man and knock it down. The mark of a failing theology which believes in a man-god, just like the pagans of old and absolutely NO evidence in the Hebrew Scriptures. Jesus would've repudiated u and your kind for your paganism and scripture twisting, not to mention false accusations!

  • @judaicaman007 Christianity 2,000 years old and going strong. it has not failed yet. Not all Christians are Catholics. Yet when people criticize the Christian faith they use the Catholic religion, a murderous Satanic religion to lump all those in Christ the same. Here we have the Pope who proclaims to be the Vicar of Christ apologizing about their history. Jesus Christ never had to apologize. The Jews do not have a pristine history either. We are all hypocrites if you get right down to it.

  • @judaicaman007 ou tend to forget the many varieties of Judaism. If y0u knew how to read I never denied the horrible church history ( the catholic church ) and that is what brought about the reformation, but Martin Luther turned out to be a monster too. I bet martin Luther turned against the Jews because some horrible Jews said some really bad things about Jesus. I think the majority of Jews suffer from the Stockholm Syndrome. They don't know their friends from their enemies.

    oldlite

  • We Christians are free to believe anything we want to believe in but Jews are excommunicated from Jewish society if they express any freedom of thought at all.

The Jewish hierarchy controls the people through fear of being shunned. To me this is no different then what the early Christian ( I use the term Christian tongue in cheek) catholic church did and still do. As Moses would say if he was here now "Let my people go"

  • @oldlite

Really? C. can believe in "anything"? Gee, I guess that's why u have 1001 different varieties of the same religion! You must've overlooked however the Inquisition, witch burnings, KKK and your local evangelical blaming each other 4 heresies. Don't cast stones at others when u live in a glass house!

Blaming old christians as "catholics" (who these days repudiate missionising of jews & see it as disrespect of our Godly calling) is lame. Fact is they all believed in jesus ergo Christians.

  • Comment removed

  • @judaicaman007 I think the Jew would rather you hate them. If you show a Jew kindness they suspect your motives.

  • @oldlite

A typical anti-semitic statement. What u r really saying is that jews are so paranoid, that they even suspect their "friends" (presumably YOU who want to missionize to death and cause the disappearance of the Jewish people) and who "love" us by giving donations to Israeli causes and at the same time "share" (we call it missionising) their belief in man made-god. Yes, we DO suspect you, for GOOD REASON! It's people like YOU who support jews 4 jesus & company!

  • @judaicaman007 You don't know me to make such blanket statements. You think I show kindness and charity to the Jew because I want to steal their soul. Your reply shows the truth of my statement about motives. I always considered and believed Judaism is for the Jews and Christianity is for the Gentiles. I also think it's wrong to try to convert those who God has reserved for Himself. So hate me suspect me but never misinterpret me.

  • @judaicaman007 I am not qualified to be a missionary nor do I belong to any church or sect. I visit these sites to see what is being said to whom by whom. I am a Christian, but I read the bible and let the Holy Spirit guide me not any man. You say I want the disappearance of the Jewish people. How pathetic is that. God will destroy those who would heave the nation of Israel apart much less try to destroy them. The Jews are the apple of God's eyes yesterday and today. God bless Israel.

  • @judaicaman007 I do believe after years of pogroms and attempts at extermination the Jews expect and have begun to desire persecution. it has become their raison d' etre. If the Gentile does not exculpate the Jews it does not feed their masochistic personalities which has developed down through the centuries not by choice but by the environment of hate towards them as the killers of Jesus.

  • @judaicaman007 The ancient Jews are not guilty of the death of Jesus. the guilty party in his crucifixion was the political system at the time.

  • @0871368021: No need for apologies. judaicaman007 doesn't see what a "missionary" he himself actually is. There's nothing more self-contradictory than an uneducated "dati." These accusations are aggressive and bigoted.

Ironically, the superstitious religiosity Riskin misrepresents as "Judaism" - akin to Middle Aged Catholicism - imprisons and bars God's chosen people from living the TaNaK.

"Rabbi" Riskin, we see, is cowardly. Dr. Flusser was not.

    Two Jesus'? Absurd.

    Are there two Riskins?

  • I am a Christian and I pray for the Jews everyday and I pray for Israel. Why don't Jews beleive in Christ when he clearly fulfilled prophecy for the first coming?

  • @cdawg1113 Blame the Catholic church for the reasons the Jewish people do not believe and actually hate Christians. The Gentiles did nothing but give the Jews pain, grief and misery so don't expect the Jews to hold your hand and sing simbayaya.

  • @cdawg1113 And I might add Jesus will tell those " Depart from me I never knew you". Believe me the Jews nor the Christians or the Muslims have a toe hold or an in with God or Salvation. God is not a respecter of persons. To be saved you need to put off the old man and put on the new. You need to work out your own salvation. You will be told lies such as Jesus said things that were already said in Judaism. Jesus was the first and the last. He was original and he is our King and Savior.

  • @oldlite try to be more clear on what your saying, it's kind of confusing.

  • @cdawg1113 Pretty plain to me what I said. What is it you do not understand.

  • @cdawg1113

they can't be more clear, if they did/ they'd see that they twist the Hebrew Scriptures unto death!

  • Very simple, he & his theology don't exist in the Bible. His Theology?

God = human being - Judaism NEVER believed in such nonsense (including jesus).

He? There is absolutely no evidence for a virgin birth messiah (check google for the recent revision of HONEST christians of the Christian Scriptures). ALL of christianity rests on THIS ONE MYTH. Without it, lots of christian believers have an embarrassing tale to believe in.

When u understand that, then u realize Judaism is the only true FAITH.

  • We don't believe in jesus for the same reasons we don't believe in Mohammad, Joseph Smith, Rev Moonie, Koresh or any other self proclaimed "prophet who does not fulfill the requirement to BE a prophet! The requirement you ask? Just take a look at Deut 13 and 18 where the conditions are clearly spelled by God Himself. Jesus & Co. did NOT fulfill the conditions. They ALL abrogated the Commandments NOT "fulfill" them. There's NO SUCH CONCEPT just as black is not white!"

  • Here are another two Jesusses: /watch?v=av4F0dxILG8

  • @candie8301972 3.) Last years a movement among Christians has come up to return to the origins of the first Century, namely /watch?v=W6SNkTyQbqE

    Pentacostal movement wins weight among Christianity;

The Natsarim, calling themselves the "protectors of the torah" seem to get an important role in establishing the original Christian theology, which Yeshua regards as Jewish.

  • @Bobbel888

so long as the natsarim and jews 4 jesus believe in a man-god and virgin birth, they are PURE PAGANS.

so long as they do not observe the commandments in the Torah, they are sinners in the eye of God and man.

  • @candie8301972 2.) Once in a service a missionary in africa spoke about what evangelising means: The first law is tolerance towards local traditions. The second law is tolerance towards local traditions. The third law is tolerance towards local traditions. Under these constraints the Acts might form an educational content not a dogmatic one. This relaxes the dogmatic conflict between Mathew 17 and Acts 15.

  • @Bobbel888 I sure am ashamed of those idiots waving the flag and rejoicing over the death of Osama. What kind of Christians are those. The bible teaches us we should not rejoice over the death of our enemies.

  • 1.) Not sure whether here is somethng to say, for a fundamental discussion will not be on eye height: Christian revelation includes salavtion for Jews, not vice versa.

2.) Acts, Chapter 15 speaks of the "covenant of heart" and Yeshua tells us to measure sprits by their testimonials. So I was in Efrat one year ago and I heard about young people with normally no future brought onto the track of a successful career. Where else is such belief?

  • this is a self hating jew sirs....

  • here is another verse in Mat 5:17-18 17Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. 18For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. Cont

  • @candie8301972 1.) Where common reading of "the law" is "the ten commandments", which where written by g-d personally and not yet implies the covenant between g-d and moses' people, initiated by circumsation. It was Konstantin who commanded the re-unition of Christianity, which produced sunday as the 7th day o.w. and the dogmatic reading of Paul's letters and that pagan Christians should not be circumsized.

  • @Bobbel888 Paul said no such thing. Circumcision mattered not all is closer to what he said.

  • @candie8301972

and boy did HE destroy the Law (and Paul who came after him)!

even when he was on earth he abused people, got angry at a fig tree! Come on! WHo gets angry at a poor fig tree in the middle of winter when it is not suppose to bear fruit! The leaves are just NOW green, and hardly any buds! Didn't "god" know that?

  • @judaicaman007 Does Judaism have symbolism? The parable of the fig tree, do you understand it?

  • @judaicaman007 Do you or can you observe all 613 or more laws of Moses as given to him by g-d?

  • @judaicaman007 does Judaism have symbolism in its religion? Do you understand the parable of the fig tree?

Whatever the reason behind the curse of the fig tree it shows Jesus' humanity.

  • @oldlite

One can show some "humanity" by NOT getting angry at a poor fig tree which was murdered for not giving fruit in season. Anyway u look at it, jesus certainly showed his humanity, he SINNED in doing it. So much for being god or son of god. Sounds like a little god, just like the in the pantheon of the greco-roman world whose gods committed murder, adultery, anger....

  • @judaicaman007 I agree that the pantheon of gods were murderers, incestuous. and adulterers. I imagine you might have murdered a tree in your yard. I know I am guilty of murdering a tree, but I hired ae tree removal service to murder the tree for me. Those tree hit men were expensive. Jesus walked a lot and was very hungry. His Father in heaven showed anger too a time or two. BTW Judaucaman I do not celebrate christmas with a tree nor do I have pictures or idols hanging on the wall.

  • @judaicaman007 We Christians are a wild branch grafted in. All those who do not bear fruit will be cut off and cast into the fire. You will know the end is near when a Gentile will grab hold of a Jews garment and ask to follow him.

  • We all are believers in the same G-d. The G-d of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. The only fundamental difference is that I personally believe that Yeshua is the Messiah. I do the best I can to live a life observing the Torah because Yeshua said so. Here are the verses that prove my point. Mat. 23:2-3; saying: The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses seat. Therefore whatever they tell you to observe, that observe and do, but do not do according to their works; for they say, and do not do. Cont.

  • perhaps we R all "sons &daughters of God",but that's not what the scripture teaches about Jesus in the New Testament, the Word teaches thatYeshua was the ONLY BEGOTTEN Son of God. &i understand u refuse 2accept Yeshua as Mashiach..but the Only Begotten of God is fundamentally different 2us all being sons of God..Iam not begotten of God...You? thanks for sharing &im sorry u were deceived by"believers" of the Most High. That hurts those of us who R gentiles who love the God of Abraham Isaac &Jacob.

  • with all due respect rabbi but how you can say us Christians have a part in salvation if Orthodoxy deems us idolators for worshipping a man as G-d? it doesn't make sense and we all know that idolatry is a sin, and sin is eternal seperation from G-d if you don't repent. are you for the Messianics or not? but peace is needed. and we can no longer be deceitful we have to go and seek truth till we die. I appreciate your honesty..

  • Comment removed

  • Rabbi Riskin dear I love you very Jewish and your calls, but if all due respect, please try to find out more about the root words you speak, shame, bless us all.

  • we should not blame Jesus for things which happened after his death..the bible was written long after he died...people have a habit of tending towards hero worship and create idols everyday to fill the void inside their own empty lives..i bet he is turning over his grave when he sees the things that are done in his name..He was very clear about not altering one word of the Torah...

  • Something slimy-schmaltzy-unwholesome about this overinflated talking head.

  • If anyone has any historical evidence that such a person as Jesus ever existed, now is the time to show it.

  • Lubavitchers, Nahman groups' beliefs are heretical- Not Judaism.

Core Principles of the Jewish faith:

I believe with perfect faith that the Creator, Blessed be His Name, is One, and that there is no unity in any manner like His, and that He alone is our God, who was, and is, and will be.

I believe with perfect faith that the Creator, Blessed be His Name, has no body, and that He is free from all the properties of matter, and that there can be no (physical) comparison to Him whatsoever.

  • A question.---- How do the Jewish People interpret, Isaiah Chap.53? Also,Isa. 9: 6,7? and Isa. 7:14?

  • The way they were originally intended-- as reference to the Jewish people. Seriously, how could you think of Isa. 7:14 as having anything to do with your messiah? Read the whole chapter-- King Ahaz lived way before Jesus.

  • How does a virgin giving birth, and being called, "God with us"have anything to do with King Ahaz? Also, what about Isa, 53 and Isa. 9:6---?

  • They make up excuses and reason their way out of a text that so clearly points to the Messiah.. they are willingly blinding themselves.

  • @FACTSMAYHURT

If you are REALLY interested, go to abebooks.com and do a search for all the books by Gerald Sigal. He has an entire book on these verses specifically! It will open your eyes and heart to serve the Lord truly.

  • Wrong - when Jews believe in Jesus they are still Jews!! He is the Messiah! By coming to the realization that Messiah came to this earth and saved us does not take away your Jewish heritage! The belief in the Messiah COMPLETES the Jewish life.

  • I totally agree with this comment. There are not two but only one Jesus. I am COMPLETED and it enhances and brings a joy and love of my Jewish heritage beyond words.

  • No, you're wrong. You're also not a Jew, so, here's a deal for you-- I won't tell you what you have to believe to be a gentile-- kindly refrain from telling me what I'm supposed to believe to be a Jew.

  • ok.. so when a Jew believes in their coming King, a Jewish Messiah they automatically become something else and are not a Jew anymore? How does that make sense??

  • @luridhue

when u believe in a DIFFERENT GOD u become a PAGAN.

According to ALL Jewish and honest Christian scholars, religious or not, Judaism did not, can not, will NEVER EVER not believe in a physical representation of God. Jesus never promoted it either & neither did his disciples. It's a purely PAGAN idea which YOU subscribe to and will be judged by G-d Himseld for believing in PAGANISM.

  • it makes NO sense at all.. Jews are no less a Jew when they believe in the Messiah - you just have issues with WHO some say the Messiah is. I don't think you honestly believe that if/when you believe in the Messiah you will cease to be a Jew. You're in my prayers friend.. ask God to reveal the truth to you, If you truly search with all your heart you will find the answer. Y'shua IS the Messiah. God bless you!

  • no..the issue is not just whether jesus was messiah..the issue is whether you believe that Jesus was G-d..and that the only way to G-d is through him..that is what makes you a non Jew over a Jew who doesn't worship any man or idol before G-d

  • No one is "telling you"this in a bad way. We are just saying to check out the scriptures yourself, including what Jesus said, then you'll see what we mean about him being the Messiah.

  • AMEN

  • @luridhue I am a Jew who believes in Messiah Jesus. Many in my family also choose to blind themselves to the facts within scripture. I am offended by this rabbi saying that because I believe in Messiah, I am no longer a Jew.

  • Live with it. You're not a Jew, you are a Christian.

  • Chesed1, I am a Jew, and proud of that fact. I still observe the law, yet I do not try to base my salvation upon it. That comes by faith. Out of obedience, I follow the law of God. And sir, get to know me before you insult my inteligence. You just may find a smart fellow if you do. It is better to be silent and thought a fool than to speak and leave no room for doubt.

  • Believe what you want but don't try to pass your beliefs on as fact. If you want to prove your intelligence, my dear, smart fellow, explain how in the NT Jesus was born during the reign of Herod and he and his parents were to remain in Egypt until Herod died. Unfortunately, Herod died in 4BCE. So much for NT facts.

  • @bchiles0123 loyalty 2 ur faith man, jesus was NOT the messiah but ur 2 stupid 2 realize it

  • @luridhue Nothing irritates the Jew more than to say they need to be perfected...lol... piss a Jew off every time. Also you can piss them off by saying the NT has relegated the OT irrelevant . The Torah is no longer important. There are many ways to piss a Jew off. every time some hateful Jew says something irremissible.

  • As a christian, I do not believe in forcing my beliefs on anyone. I believe the jews will accept Jesus, as the Messiah, when the time comes. Otherwize, much of what The Rabbi says is true

  • The New Testament has many explicit contradictions to the Old Testament regarding observance of commandments, i.e. concerning procreation, eating particular foods, circumcision and so on. The New Testament absolves the adherent from observing many of the commandments of the Old Testament. Calling Jesus a rabbi is neither factual nor apt. According to Judaism Jesus was no less than a heretic. Preach tolerance, by all means, but please do not misrepresent the Jewish Orthodox faith.

  • that is not altogether right..you have to remember that they teachings of Jesus were altered and added to...the fact is we really don't know what Jesus said and what he didn't..but from a historical perspective we can deduce that he was an observant Jew and a probably a Rabbi...there is debate between Rabbis even today..now imagine if one singled out a Rabbi with different views and made him into a god..that is essentialy what happened to Jesus

  • As someone who is not Jewish but studies the Hebrew Bible as well as the Brit Hadashah, I am saddened of such disrespect and ignorance of some of the comments being read. Rabbi Riskin talks of a famous Rabbi (from 1 century Judaism) who talked of obedience to the commandments with all your heart, soul, and strength. (Does not the Torah say that?) Which one of you is doing just that?

  • Rabbi Riskin, does not represent me either and I am not even Orthodox, just a regular Jew. We, as Jews, have more in common theologically with Islam than we will ever have with Christianity. One day, when B'ezrat Hashem there is peace with the Muslims, we shall live in peace. However, the Christians will never want to stop trying to convert us. They believe in a man-god, we do not.

  • Rabbi Riskin does not in any way represent me or any other Orthodox Jew. He may practice as one, but his remarks certainly run counter to some of the basic tenets of Orthodox Judaism. His homiletic is discouragingly apologetic (in both the original video as well as this PR damage-control drivel). While the intonation and gesticulation allow his discourse to appear scholarly or academic, his words, in fact, are neither. In neither video does he reference sources or submit original thought.

  • I guess a physical murder was not enough for him, he has now progressed on to spiritual murder as well.

  • At first, he was a paid mouthpiece for the Palestinians until they bit him in the Ass. Now that he's a paid mouthpiece for the Evangelicals, the only Ass that will be bit is the uninformed Jew that he has put on the path to becoming a Messianic Jew! Riskin's Original bond with the Palestinians has clearly left Jewish blood on his hands. Alas, his bond of Evangelicals has begun to put lost Jewish Souls in his hands as well.

  • Why Should Riskin be Careful,? He gets paid for every mention of the Word Jesus by the Evangelicals!! He even Gets a Bonus when he has the audacity to call Jesus a Rabbi!!!!

  • Christianity did not originate with judaism!

Christianity originated with the risen Jesus Christ!

Christ came to destroy Judaism and all its manmade laws that could never save anyone.

Jesus kept the "law" because man could NOT! he fulfilled it! completly!

    jewish law never saved ANYONE!

John made very clear that ANTICHRIST was anyone who denied that Christ was the redeemer.

    IT WASNT PAUL!

the Jerusalem council sent letters and witnesses to gentiles to stop them from converting to Judaism

  • please make sure this gets out to all the misguided ppl who are motzi shem ra the Rav

  • The very fact that Rabbi Riskin needed to issue this clarification should serve as a wake up call to him that there is a hidden agenda within Evanglical Christianity that he was not aware of; that he is not seeing the whole picture.

Criticizing the comments of a public figure such as Rabbi Riskin, who could have devastating effects on the Jewish people - even deadly consequences - is not loshon hara. We must speak up when great Rabbis do things that could lead to 1000s of Jews converting.

  • Rabbi Riskin is a sweet, well meaning person and a tzadik. Unfortunately, like most Jews, he wants to be loved and so he takes a touchy feely approach to Christianity. He refuses to see the depth and savagery of Christianity that only became civilized in the last century. Like most Israelis, he is in denial about anti-Semitism.

  • Have you seen what I consider the most unforgettable Holocaust photo; Jews dressed in their "sunday best" licking the street clean. That's Christianity to me. The Pope, during the inquisition, discovering you can skin a Jew to the waist before he dies. That's the brotherly love of Christianity. Christians should admit that although they claim to worship the God of Israel, their religion was fashioned in pagan Rome, not Jerusalem. The only one who died for their sins was the Jewish people.

  • This is Catholosism , not true Christianity. Read the Bible there is nothing in it, that promotes this kind of behavior.

  • @PeninaTaylor The time is drawing near when all people and all Nations will bow down before the one true G-d. The G-d of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

  • Unfortuately there are few "Christians" that can even make sense of what Rabbi Riskin is speaking about. As abeliever and a scholar who has been raised in the church and has had to deal with the masses of uneducated "christians" my whole life it is no wonder that the church is in the state it is today and that they buy all the false teachings that have no basis in the Biblical text and they have no idea of their "Jewishness". • Unfortunately many people engage in Lashon Harah, & what has happened to Rav Riskin is a prime example of not only the evils of speaking it but of listening &passing the message on. I have read those who say they merely wanted to conduct a civil discourse. Civil discourse would have meant altering Rabbi Riskin to the original, obviously spliced and manipulated videos rather than posting it and reposting it all over.Thank you Rabbi Riskin. Your commitment to the Jewish people is unparalleled.

  • @Salixj Quit trying to show us how smart you are by using these 2 dollar words like Lashon Harah. Be plain spoken just say its a sin to talk about or gossip about a person.

  • look, I understand and agree with SOME of the points you made and you original statement does have more of a perspective now and is more understandable. But, nonetheless, even with what you call manipulation of your words, those were still your words and nothing can change that (unless you were to formerly recant what you said). Even with an understanding of context and intent, which i now understand and more or less agree with, those statements are still distortions.

  • Be careful next time Rabbi, these missionaries will do anything to twist, lie, cheat and misrepresent our beliefs. With friends like these, who needs enemies?

  • Evangelical Christians are the Jews and Israel's best friends. To be a "true" Christian, you must love the Jewish people, and rightly so. You're ancestors wrote the most beautiful Book ever written. Even today as a Christian I fly the flag of Israel along with the American flag. God bless Israel!

  • @judaicaman007 im a gentile believer of the Almighty... the God of Abraham isaac and Jacob... I love Him..with all my heart soul strength and might.... i love my neighbour as myself... and i serve Him. He is my King. I am sorry so many "missionaries" have lied to you, cheated you, twisted His Word and tried to deceive you. Most of us, gentiles, who Love God.. serve Him in truth and obedience. there is no agenda to deceive for al of us one day will give an account before Him. GodBless you always.

  • @0871368021 You are not religious but you are a Christian. I am looking for friends like you.

  • @0871368021

I thank you for your kind words but it is YOUR obligation to stop such dastardly people in missionizing in the name of your God.

  • @judaicaman007 (im 0871368021 on new channel) I will do what the Lord has called me to do. I must stand before Him and give account. There is enormous corruption in the Body of believers throughout the world. I will speak the truth when I am in their midst...

  • @judaicaman007 Yes, everyone who tries to tell you that your belief is not the true one is necessarily a liar. We can't listen and act at the same time, but in order to live we will do both. When there is a time to act we are necessarily obediants of our belief. When there is a time to listen we can filter our belief through the torah. Others who remain then, won't touch you.

  • @judaicaman007 Well that is true you have enough enemies surrounding you. You don't need us. I am still sending Rabbi Yechial Ecstein donations to feed the poor and help the orphans in Israel. I have the light as God has given me the light to know I should not condemn all Jews because of some bad Jews. You condemn all Christians because of some bad ones out there. Not all missionaries twist lie and cheat.
