Proceeding from darkwood, this shed alot of light on the situation and the fact I felt accomplished because I was 5/6 when this came out and to beat Darkwood was an epic feeling.
I adore fable. The soundtrack is absolutely amazing. There was something magical about that game. I felt like I was in another world when I played it. I miss those days as now I'm too busy with school to play video games any more. :(
Fable 1 was sucha rare and powerfull game that, as a gamer, i have learned to love and respect as time goes on....the game makes you feel like your doing more than just playing xbox. It's truly remarkable and I hope the creators relook their position and understand what players and fans truly want...another mesmorizing game like fable 1....im sure thats probably asking a lot. But I'll wait..even if im 40 years old and fable 45 comes out on some crazy console..I'll buy it and play..only hopeing..
It's sad... but... you know... We can't have few "magic" games, thats why Fable 2 and 3 is so shitty. If Fable 1 wouldn't be so rare and special it wouldn't be so magic. I really miss Fable1 and I miss many hours spent with it. I have finished it 4 times and I love this theme, I like to just close my eyes and do nothing while listening to this. I remember that I felt this magic when menu just showed up. I agree with Quinx999.
OMG dude no homo but this is the most beautiful music i have evr heard i remember as a child grown up playing this game, brings back so many memories.
this is a game that failed on so many marks (i was waiting for it since it was first announced by Lionhead, years before the xbox was even released... then it took another few years for this game to be released) but was almost impossible to stop playing. so addictive, so rewarding, so fun. not what molyneaux said it would be, but a classic nevertheless. i will be starting fable 2 this spring (finally)
@Kmaster02 fable was one of the rare games i bought on launch day, then i got into morrowind. so... played oblivion next (fable 2 was not out yet) long story short... my backlog is long, i have thirty plus games i have barely played more than a few hours into, and i was waiting til fable 2 came down in price... got it for ten bucks

People keep saying that they're disappointed that this song wasn't in Fable II. While that is correct, Bower Lake's theme is very incredibly similar, and is, sort of, a reworking of this song. Bit like how Bowerstone's theme from II is similar to Bowerstone from I, but less obvious. Listen to Summer Fields, then Bower Lake back to back.
Though maybe it's just me.
I'm also not very dissatisfied that this song didn't make it in the sequels. Makes it more a part of the original game, imo~
This song was amazing when i heard it in Fable. I bought Fable, Fable TLC, Fable 2, and Fable 3 over time now. Fable TLC was most definatly the best (it was Fable 1 with some extra content) All the songs in Fable TLC were amazing and undescribable beyond that!
@Aldris247 i completely agree fable 2 was just a huge dissapointment for me and im not attempting to bother with fable 3 everyone said its just rubbish.
@white1whidow I actually liked Fable 3, but I wouldn't recommend it since the reviews are so bad and so, like, maybe I just have rubbish taste in games sometimes. I don't it has muchreplay value either. The glitch issues are totally overblown though. I played through without patches and had virtually no problems, like, apart from little visual things. Certainly nothing I needed to start a new game over.
i absolutely adored every bit of music in Fable 1 (well i had fable TLC but still), and i was extremely disappointed that they didn't keep at least a few of the tracks for fable 2. not to mention that fable 2's music was good, but much more bland than fable 1, imo at least.
it like your in the past hearing music in a bar, kids playing. you just sitting there watching other people doing stuff and it also feel like you're in a forest that is so bright it like the heavens are shining at you. = )
@Anriel2 I absolutely loved the soundtrack, game notwithstanding, but this song made the game for me at some points. Sometimes, I would just sit and listen to this song at the opening screen, for nearly fifteen minutes...and yes, sometimes the song would make me cry. Fable, with the help of it's soundtrack, helped change video games as we know them
The orchestration is just bliss in this track. Shaw is a true master and it's great to see such a great writer of orchestral music sicking to tonal music.
A lot of people miss this one, partly because it's on the select screen so they tune it out. My favourite isn't this though, it's Oakvale. This one's alright but Oakvale is more atmospheric imo, especially since you get it just before the traumatic opening sequence.

i wish Fable 2 and 3 were like fable 1.
like Anriel says.. : It was so magic..
i felt like a truly hero..
but in fable 2/3.. There is just a game.
Fable 1 is a really rare game.
