Have to agree. They really ruined what could have been a more entertaining interview with all of the character actors by bombarding it with all of the needles clips. Everyone already knows what the animated characters look like. This is supposed to be about voice actors and NOT the animation.

@Othersider23, When James Lipton appeared on The Simpsons Season 13 DVD Audio Commentary, he explained that Kavner was scheduled to go to Shelter Island on Long Island on an 11.15pm ferry so she had to leave. She has never been fond of doing her Simpson voices in public and has actually hidden behind character masks when doing them. She seems very uncomfortable the few times they show her face in earlier parts to this video. Given the evidence I think Kavner's exit was unplanned.

I've heard the voice of Marge is made through exhausting her a lot, for example they used to make her read the lines about 100 times so she would get exhausted and then get to the voice of Marge better. Bet that's the reason

Yes, I listened to it. ;) Inside the Actors Studio only goes for an hour, but the taping of the episodes lasts a lot longer. Taping started at 8, but Julie Kavner had a boat to catch to Long Island at 11 which she had pre-paid for... She stayed as long as she could and then had to leave to catch her ferry. Sory if someone else already answered this, but I saw a lot of interesting misinformation about contacts. ;)
