@Jumper76Anton When you are in space all you are doing is going doing which makes you feel weightless the only difference is that in space you can keep falling forever towards the earth and keep missing the end because the earth is round so you get stuck in a circle around the earth (called orbit)
It is exactly the same effect only difference is in space it can last forever in the atmosphere it will last a couple seconds...
PS - How could you possibly go to 'space' with a jet theres no air -.-
@Jumper76Anton this is pretty much a normal plane that falls at free fall speed... You are thinking of virgin galactic (youtube it if you are interested) yeah that aircraft shoots up into space and then falls back down and as it is falling you feel weightless (because it goes higher it can fall for longer and make you weightless for up to 7 minutes not 30 seconds at a time)
too many shrieking people. I dislike it when masses of people get together and start shouting.... I get their happy and excited, but.... I don't know, maybe i'm a grouch! lol, But this does look AWESOME!
I went on this with my aunt (who happened to be a sci-fi geek) and it was AMAZING! If you are ever lucky enough to have the opportunity to do this, I recommend it 100%.
Ok now I'm too desperate to ride zero G!! My family don't have enough money to book a flight ($4,950...?) so now I'm DEFINATELY gonna work much harder at school to aford it! And the bad thing is that it is only available in America, I live in England... NOOOOO!! And it's to DIE for! No fair! :)
Wow what a great way to make money, the only company in the United States to offer this??? No wonder it's expensive, hmmm if I had the money I would setup my own company and charge half what they charge.
The national gymnastics team should take a ride on this, after a competition or after the Olympics, to show off their moves after training/preparing for competition shape.
its cost 4200 and the way they do it is they fly a parabola and when they get to the top they do a 30 degree nose dive at a certain speed which creates zero g
no, because if the ball was in zero g it wouldnt come down. gravity is still acting on an object thats flying through the air, its just that the kinetic energy keeps it up but once the energy weakens it begins to drop and once its motionless the kinetic energy has been displaced and turns back into potential energy. derr...
wrong. it's not the nosedive that creates the zero G. it's the entire part of the parabola where the concavity is negative. The whole crest of the parabola.
Xenon, weight is an effect of our planets gravity. Weightlessness is just another word for free fall. Free fall (weightlessness) is achieved when an objects fall is exactly matched with the gravitational pull of another object.
the plane must fly making a parabolic movement. like a hamornic wave. this makes the gravity reach zero when the aircraft is on the lowest altitude. later when increasing altitude everybody inside the plane must lay down because gravity returns to its normal value and then higher. sorry for bad english.
im savin up money but coz im young i need to save up 10,000 coz i need and adult wiv me and i have to save up even more coz im gonna need to fly to america!
Nope... The aircraft flies a negative parabola... It pitches up about 45 degrees then pitches forwards (Like going over a hump-backed bridge) and it lasts about 30 seconds, usually repeated a few times for this experience!
I always wanted to float, the website says it costs $4,950 per person so I really am going to start saving up little by little. Hopefully one day I can afford to experience this!
Parabolic flight... on the dive down you equal speed of gravity, hence inside you will be weightless, same thing happens on the upswing, on the climb you equal the speed of gravity and ta-da! The plane will do a number of parabolic dives and climbs each time giving the occupants a few seconds to minutes of Zero G experience.
@LordAudio They made the price 3500$ and they give you lunch before you go...I saw a news report on it ( apparently it helps settle ur stomach by eating before )
I've never done one of these flights, but i have gone flying with my dad where we go up and then dive and go weightless for about 5 or 10 seconds. It is awesome! at first, if feels like you've just stepped off a ledge and are falling and then you don't feel anything! I wish i could do one of these flights! i'm sure you aren't weightless for very long though.
ok if your serious about going and you want to split the cost now. let me know. give me your email address and have a way to meet up for the purchase. Since the 2nd ticket is discounted we will split the total cost.

They probably did some of the faking of the Apollo moon missions in a diving plane to simulate zero-G.

Or do they just go into Space?

@Interleap idk shit about this. lol
But I'm pretty sure there are some kind of aircrafts that also have rockets that can fly in space.
Also I lately heard that it was just opened or in the make. The first ever space airfield.
U can prove me wrong of course because I have no clue about all this.

Repeated for like 15-25 times
Costs about 5000 dollar
