  • Wow I'm glad you shared this information it will help another sista....

  • Thank you for sharing this. I have had low iron twice when i went to donate blood so instead of ignoring this i'm going to make a doctor's appointment. I had noticed a difference in my hair as well and after seeing this i will get my vitamins and find out if i'm anemic. I loved your cut as well, very cute!!!

  • thank you sooo much for sharing.

  • thank you sooo much for sharing.

  • Wow gurl for real. Imma a nemic aswell. I'm going back to the health dept and getting more iron pills and more certified vitamin pill. WOW!!!! IM SHOCKED!!! THANKS!!!

  • Your video shocked me & made me cry. I've been anemic on & off for a very long time. I noticed the front of my hair had a different texture & very thin. I thought it was hereditary. Now I know what could be the cause thanks to you. Right now I'm on prescription prenatals. Your video really touched me. Thank you for sharing & God bless you & your family.

  • Thanks for posting! (waliking to the cabinet and grabbing my vitamins and water!)

  • Iron & vitamin a are good for hair skin & nails. It changed my hair game DRAMATICALLY

  • I am so sorry your hair came out, but honey you made a come back once you cut it. The cut is so cute on you!!! Keep rockin it !

  • Great video! Im not preggers and Im experiencing this in one area but it slowly looks like it getting better...I need to take to take vitamins, just not sure what kind. What would you recommend?

  • @highfashion86 I'd try prenatal or check to see if you're anemic :( Hope all is well !

  • I was put on iron supplements by my doctor because I am anemic, but the pills gave me a rash and I stopped taking them, My hair is extremely thick, but it still sheds and I had no idea that the shedding could be linked to anemia. Thanks so much for sharing!!! You are so brave <3

  • @sheezfreshnexciting hmm...try taking the regular iron pills from target. THey are really small green pills ;) (go figure) Let me know how it goes .k. good luck

  • what but what happened ? why u got the bald spots?

  • Wow - very brave of you to share. Short hair looks good on you. Your baby is gorgeous. *running off to get vits*.

  • U UTE REGARDLESS..... BONNIE

  • Thanks for sharing your story! You are very strong and brave to put yourself out there for the world to see! Good luck!

  • Wow that explains alot. Before i went natural i was pregnant with my 2 child and noticemy hair falling out in the middle of my hair. so i cut it into a bob and it still wasn't growing right but i wasnt taking my vitamins. even a year after he was born it was fallling out while i nursed. And now I know why this happend!!! Thank you. But it is part of the reason I went natural 2 years ago! Thank You so much for sharing!!!!

  • I feel this right now. I have 3 kids and have suffered from anemia. I experienced the same shedding for each pregnancy. But now my baby is 3 and realizing I am going through hair shedding because of anemia. I know now i need to het this in check Thank u for sharing.

  • I feel your pain. I got diagnosed with anemia because I was not getting enough protein and B vitamins and this affected iron intake and my absorption rate. My hair would fall from the follicles anytime i combed it. It was horrible!!! I had two shuddering episodes!! Horrible! So i know your pain!

  • Im glad you shared this because you just helped someone - somewhere.

  • O wow, thank you for sharing. I am happy you saw the brighter picture in the end and it worked out for you.

  • @Prime1018 nooo more balddd spotttsss :) very thankful. I'm growing it out now. My daughter was like uhm mommy....I miss your hair

  • it was devastating for me, and i shared it with everyone I came in contact with, just to find out they had/have been experiensing the same thing.....you are not alone. My daughter is 41/2 and i still take prenatal vitamins and biotin, pray and just baby my hair. the spots have grew back with a whole other texture....line fine baby hair! T/U Jesus

  • Thank you and I had the a bald spot on the left side of my head, but lower and about the same side, which is y I chose to stop processing my hair and to go natural, don't feel bad, but I do understand,

  • I had no idea that anemia was like this towards hair. I guess that explains why I can't retain length and have periods of shedding which worsen with stress. This video has motivated me and I will definitely do better with taking my vitamins everyday and eating plenty of iron-rich foods.

  • wow thanks for sharing :)

  • Hello, great vid thank you for this. I went trough the same experience, I mean I guess it was the same. My hair was starting to fall out 3 years ago. And I was losing on the front side... I was not pregnant, but I think it was alopecia. It is such a trauma when you brush, and touch your hair and see your hair falling apart! It is a real nightmare. I was afraid to touch them. But vitamins and biotine and help a lot. Best of luck :-)

  • @cmwen so trueeeeeee - I'm so glad you enjoyed the video

  • You look a lot better with the really short hair. It really becomes u.

  • ...super brave, i got emotional feeling your angst from years ago...poor you...i'm sure it was a nightmare. you're a soldier. best of luck to you!

  • thanks for sharing...I know your courage will help someone out there going through a similar situation. I'm transitioning and debating on the bc.

  • go to xgoldn her page on youtube....she did her bc like straight from a perm and it seemed flawless...I guess it all depends on if you want to wait to be free of .. . be free now :)

go for whats in your heart hon

  • Thank you for sharing your story. I've never been pregnant but I've had problems with anemia but did not realize just how severe it could get. Another member stated her hair turned brown. I didn't know that could be a symptom. I had jet black hair in high school but in college my hair started turning really really brown, almost red. I've been keeping my iron in check much better now and since going natural, my hair is almost as dark as it was before.

You look gorgeous with your short hair!!

  • GREAT video really was needed.

  • Yeah, my husband had to give me a check two years ago when I was relaxing my thin and damaged hair. It was because of him that I "had" to go natural. It was the best thing he has ever made me do!
