Dual tone-arms. Schweet!! I guess premature tone-arm reject could be prevented with an extra cap devoted solely to detecting sound(music) above a certain threshold(in dB), thus delaying pickup of the tone-arm before the end of the record.
I'm curious about tonearm leaves record inmediatly after tune ends. Could it be when it plays a longer song tonearm reject takes places before song ends. I wonder how these model settings are. Also, is that a Cobra ?
hello I was wondering if this jukebox played 78 rpm records as well and if so can you please show it playing one it would be greatly apprecieated. thank you and keep the great videos coming
Yes, it played both 78 and 45rpm intermixed. When side B was selected, the tone arm under the record engaged and the motor reversed so the record was played upside down and spun in the opposite direction. It changed speeds by guaging the height of the turntable as it rose with the record hole either a 78 or 45. It locked into a female hole at the top and if it was a 45, the turntable rose slightly higher which activated a motor to change the speed.
does it a good machine or not

Hi!
Could this wonderful unit be converted to play 10 inch 33 rpm long playing records, instead of 78's ?

@recordchangerqueen Hi, I also love and collect 10 inches but 78s spinning on these units are also a wonderful thing to see and hear. Greetings.

This is a fantastic machine, I would love to see it do a 45 cycle then change to a 78 cycle. How is the problem of different stylus size dealt with?
recordchangerqueen 2 years ago
@recordchangerqueen A compromise in the tip size of the stylus is used for both 45rpm and 78rpm records.

@tubellarbells The Zenith cobra cartridge was used in several WurliTzer jukebox models as late as the mid 1960s I believe.
