You know what I have asked myself the same question and the only logical answer to me is that she accidentally released the wrong copies of the books. By the time J.K. Rowling realized what had happened it was to late to recall the books and get the copy that she wanted to have out. I find it hard to believe that J.K. Rowling would make such a mistake like this and have Hermione end up with Ron and not Harry. XP
