The insurance that doctors and hospitals need drives health care cost up dramatically. With everyone so sue happy in this country, it needs to be more difficult.
At college on of the proffessors had the theory of getting rid of all insurance. His reason is hospitals wouldn't be able to charge the prices they do for treatments. If everyone has insurance they will charge an arm and a leg, and eventually the premiums for said insurance would be just as impossible to pay as not having the insurance.
Differant suggestion: some sort of fee based system cheap for 10 minute visit, reasonble interest free charge that you pay off over months/years

More access to HSAs and CDHPs. I really like my HSA and would love to see a large push to get the younger generations using them.
They are a great tool for low cost management of your healthcare expenses today while having a means to save for healthcare costs in the future.
