  • who the fuck cares what his specific mos was unless you served as a frontine combatant then shut your fucking trap. He was a WW1 Vet that served his country yet you sit on you fat ass and disgrace him by arguing symantics of WW2 shame on all of you. Want to debate WW2 and the facts surrounding it then find a fucking forum to do so you all make me sick!

  • @Thickpole1 Oh and it was made by some dipshit reposting a script from a website not american journalist god you are al fucking stupid enlighten yourselves and read the fucking name of the person writing it and not jump to conclusions for fucks sake

  • ok so if ur not a COMBAT veteran what did u do ?

  • so sad

  • This is very American. A driving instructor is NOT a combat veteran he`s a support non combatant. The war was effectively over when the main US army arrived.

  • @rouseg7

no shit, they join in 1917, the war ended in 1918. the US was stationed in the war for like 1 or 2 and a half years.

  • i love britain im norwegian and the britain helped us getting free they saved us from the danes and fougth well in ww1 and ww2 america was nothing they did almost nothing and the americans took credit for ww2 but they came in at the end of the war.

stalin had a giant army waiting we coud have done it without them and britain also did wery much in ww2 but why do everyone make movies where the americans win or as the british in ww1 movies.

only one ww1 movie is on german side no news fromtheeast

  • @ZabuzaSOULESS yeas your right i shoud maybe not write things before i am 100 % sure XD

  • @ZabuzaSOULESS

    You're so full of shit.

Ever read a single book about WW2??

Here's something you and all you ignorant clowns need to realize. 80% of the German casaulties were on the Eastern Front and it was there the Nazi Wehrmacht was defeated. Any historian will tell you that the turning point of the war was in Stalingrad early 1943.

On D-day for instance, there were around 60 German divisions in France, compared to over 230 on the huge Eastern Front.

Read all about it and stop your BS!

  • @ZabuzaSOULESS

Here's the REAL truth. If the allies didn't have the USSR to battle the main bulk of the German Panzer forces for 3 long years on the Eastern Front (in which the Germans didn't sip tea for 3 years thank you very much).

For this reason a lot of medicine, food, trucks and other material was sent to the USSR. You know why? Because had the USSR fallen, then Hitler would have continental superiority and his hands free to defend "Fortress Europe"

You are FLAGGED for posting nonsense

  • Non where sent over seas pahaha, Harry Patch he was a combat vet and he was the one surving ww1 who face the reall trenches :'( all links to the trenches are cut :(

  • Harry Patch is still alive, he is 109 and fought in the trenches of WW1. Poor journalism.

  • Harry patch is now Dead now the last british ww1 soldier has died RIP M8 YOUR A TRUE HERO

  • I think he is talking about when this video was originally made.

  • Not anymore.

  • not any more RIP

  • That is a mistake...Frank Buckles is the last American WWI veteran and he is still alive at 108 ...He lives in W. Virginia

  • @bobbya16 i'm glad you made this comment. i was going to leave the same reply.

  • I have to admit, this does appear slightly arrogant of the Americans. I hope just an honest mistake.

  • atleast he died peacfully, not the way a lot of other men died......

  • Probably the last US veteran but not the last WW1 veteran there's still one in Britain he's 114 years old and been in the most important naval battles during the war

  • 7 Veterans of World War I are here on this Earth today and there listed from youngest to oldest: Australian Claude Choules is 107, American Frank Buckles is 107, Brit Netherwood Hughes is 108, Canadian John Babcock is 108, Australian John Campbell Ross is 109, Brit Harry Patch is 110, and Brit Henry Allingham is 112. Rip Bill Stone. And there is only 1 living unverified World War I Veteran which is Douglas Terrey who I think is from United Kingdom he is 105.

  • Any German WW1 veterans?

  • Sadly not as far as I am aware.

May all those who died during this terrible war R.I.P

  • nah they are all dead as of last year

  • no the last one died a year or two ago. :(

  • harry patch & Henry allingham are still alive

  • This is a scandal, yet again it's idiotic Americans not having a clue about anything else in the world but themselves,i bet they couldn't even point out europe on the map. Harry Patch is 110 this year and fought at the bloody battles of Passchendaele and Ypres and he's still alive.

  • They meant the last AMERICAN combat veteran from WWI. They mentioned he was from Oregon. But yes, there are more veterans over seas and also in Canada.

  • yea not the last. anyways he died in his sleep so he felt no pain. he had a picefull death

  • Bull shit, Harry Patch is still alive, he fought in the Battle Of Passchendaele

  • yeah, she forgot to say last AMERICAN combat veteran

  • ummmm harry patch is alive, and harry patch was there. the finnish and russians and polish each have 1. italy still ahs 1. and 2 german veterans are still alive. one who fought in the carpathian mountains and one who was a gunman on the western front.

  • Typical yanks! Harry patch was injured in the trenches when the germans were about beaten! That was before the yanks knew the war was on.

    gotta love that numpty yanks.

  • check my account and see what nationality i am from. i will save you the embarassement and say you are forgiven so you don't have to reply looking like a fool.

  • The comment was not directed at you` but i see why you thought so! so you are forgiven.

  • umm... you realize taht this was about an American veteran? You shouldhave,as this is a video made by the Pentagon, our center of military

  • that don't mean nothing. people talk of things non-related to their country all the time.

  • @Donksn Typical Yanks? What gives you the right to generalize like that. I could say you're being a typically rude Englishman but I then I would be guilty of it too. I suppose your news agencies never make mistakes.

  • @dugowt1

    I`m not English.

  • God bless you ,sir

  • Rest in peace.

  • I find it strange that this country and goverment do not have any plans for when the last WWI veterans dies.

  • thast only because he asked to not have any.

  • Most of the focus these days is on WWII, which is why there's so little coverage or interest :(

  • it makes me sad.

  • Grazie a tutti coloro che come lei hanno combattuto per la libertà durante la Seconda Guerra Mondiale. Grazie, un Italiano.

  • god rest you mate, youll always be in our thoughts

  • You rest now Corporal. We'll keep watch. God keep you and thanks.

  • RIP Warrior
