  • Great post, thanks

  • Michelle Obama’s $4.5 billion "Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act" mandates broke school districts to grow gardens and have salad bars, but it begs the question why can’t the existing system be revamped to give children healthier choices without costing a fortune.

    .

It also takes $2.2 Billion away from the Food Stamp Program to fund it. Currently the US pays some farmers not to grow food, and Michelle is on Sesame Street using Elmo to push it.

  • 3:03 :"You're not going to hit me with that hammer are you?! I'll lie down! I'll lie down!"

  • @cowellwannabe71 Poor Blue Guy

  • Clay Aiken?!

  • If you follow the ten commandments of health, you may live to be 100 or older.

  • Here's a reason why Sesame Street today sucks. Sesame Street was about unity and variety. It mixed different types of Muppets and Human characters, and they way they stimulated children was also in variety, from songs, to lessons, to other things, and at the same time it mixed education and entertainment in the right way. How does it live up to those underlying themes when it decides to devote 2-thirds of screentime to a little red devil named Elmo?

  • SS is going to way of Disney before it. I was born in 1961 & grew up watching so many great Disney movies. I also loved the weekly Wonderful World of Disney, as did my siblings and all my friends. But look at the garbage on their channel now, that passes for entertainment. Walt Disney would be ashamed. And now SS is ruled by that evil red devil.

  • This rules...............:)

  • I so agree...SS just can't compare to that vintage period you mentioed. I think Elmo and his world extremely annoying!

  • i hated this video..i used to think the patient was dying,,and the doctors sounded like they were crying as they sang..it was sad

  • OMG!!!!!

  • I love this. :3

  • This brings back so many memories. I think I still have that video. Maybe I should convert it to digital.

  • nah stopping immigration would have been more useful

  • This sure would be useful today with the swine flue

  • Ten comandments of health from Advice you can count on advalable on Medical records

  • Ten comdanments of health from the album Advice you can count on advalable on Medical records

  • wait, what? nothing comes out of your nose when you sneeze.. you need to cover your mouth for that too. XD and cold weather doesnt cause illness.. .. also, showering every DAY? That's really not a good idea.. especially in dry climates..

  • I've never gone a day in my life without showering and have yet to see a problem with it. Skipping a day sounds absolutely revolting....I'd take two showers a day if it were economic. Hell, maybe three or four.

  • I've gone some days without showering. Sometimes when you don't do anything you don't feel the need to shower and waste water. If you're going out and working every day then yeah you need to shower.

I think any more than 3 is bad unless you're like out in the wild or something.

  • The whole muppets concept was a genius idea

Jim Henson was a smart man

  • This is so cute! I always sing it with my 6 year old sister!

  • Based on the Doo Wop song 'The Ten Commandments Of Love' by the Moonglows. I heard this when I was 5 & the song it was based on when I was 13!

  • its Johnson on the bed with all the doctor and Nurse I remmeber this

  • Who lent his voice to the doctor?

  • I think Frank Oz was the head doctor.

  • These were awesome tips, beats the hell out of telling kids to bathe in Purell.

  • That's a cheesy mustache.

  • Lol i have the audio cassette for this

  • Keep the ten commandments of health... or your doctor will whack you with a sledgehammer. Hmmm....

  • i used to LOVE this video hahaha!!

  • I can not believe how trippy this is...

  • my opinion, mstatz, the ppl who run SS didn't grow up watching it so they don't know jack. they probably went to business school and just jumped on the Elmo Marketing Campaign so now SS is an hourlong brainwashing segment to buy elmo, to wear elemo. to sleep with elmo.. it's sickening but that's my thoughts.

  • I agree 100%!

  • @nabz47 Couldn't agree more. Bring back old SS! I still have the green tapes!

  • It is so cool how they spoof various styles of music in their clips. Over the years, they've done many current pop artists, such as "the Lead Police" and "Cereal Girl" where you can tell they're spoofing the Police and Madonna. There are a lot of clips like this one that spoof 50s Do-Wop. There's an old popular song similar to this called "16 Reasons" with numbered sayings.

  • thank you SO MUCH for posting these. this was my absolute favorite VHS when i was a kid, i must've watched it every day or more for years. i've always meant to ebay a copy but never got around to it. thanks again!

  • grover probably responsible for his illness.

  • anything green

  • OMG! I haven't seen this for a long time!! and I was born in '93!

  • Screw Elmo's World.

  • You are a horrible person

  • the reason why I say screw elmo's world is the factr they could show more of Sesame Street's other muppets instead of elmo.

  • Well, when you put it that way.. I do think they should have a kind of focus that makes it so no muppets are left out or there is too little of them.

  • I liked it before they had elmo. You make a very good point.

  • I have to admit I agree. Sesame Street is so completely out of whack from what it was from 1969 to about 1990. Why are they dedicating one third of the entire show to Elmo? Why is he SO special that they have to treat him miles above any other Muppet, human, cartoon or any and every other video or film segment? I don't understand his God-like treatment. I think he is an overrated obnoxious little nerd myself. They might as well name the show "Elmo Street"! Can anyone give me an answer?

  • But I wish they would take him out like they did Tony Montana and Sonny Carleone. That would be a way to go. I cant stand that little red nusence. I really gets on my nerves. I agree with you hole heartedly.

  • Elmo's World was added because childern were louseing intrast in the show 45 minutes in. Don't hate Elmo, it's not his fualt that he's popular with kids.

  • Besides, Elmo is just a Muppet that does Elmo's World for a living. He can be entertaining when he doesn't have to deal with Sesame Workshop. Have you seen the interviews he does on talk shows? If not, you should watch them on YouTube. You might even favorite them.

  • How could anyone hate Elmo, cute and cuddly, and kind and caring, whats not to like or love :D

  • I'm with you.

  • We'd just like a tad -less- Elmo .. proportionally speaking.

  • @mstatz part of it is because back in the later nineties their ratings dropped, and since every kid loved Elmo they decided that he was the answer to the problem. i never really had a problem with it, but i do agree that that's all that show is these days.

  • @mstatz Because it gets responses. Kids LOVE Elmo, and love his laugh. I also love Elmo, he's my absolute favourite and came on the show when I was born. He's my SS buddy. While I'm not sure how I feel about a lot of the show being given to Elmo, I think for a lot of kids it might be their favourite part of the show. It's predictable -- Mr Noodle is always there, we learn something specific each time, and Dorothy always knows what's what.

That's just what I think, though.

  • @mstatz they should put more time on the cookie monster's addiction rather than elmo lol

  • @mstatz dont 4get 1/3 also dedicated 2 big bird now.......... so only 1/3 for d actual sesame street story of the day

  • @mstatz

I totally agree...but really, the only speculation I have is...after the passing of Jim Henson, the show gradually started to implode...and now it's just sad what it has become :( You NEVER ever, see any of these old classics from the first 20 years...but just remember they are here on youtube for us to enjoy :)

  • I remember watching this video at my grandparents house. It brings back a lot of memories. Do you have any other videos like this or anything else that you think you could upload? Like The Best of Kermit on Sesame Street.

  • I remembered this when I watched it in my aunt's house as I was a kid.

  • OMG, lol. XD

  • LOL, medical records. Nice.

  • juicy

  • Cool.

  • We won't cough or sneeze if we dress warmly? What if you have allergies??
