What's wrong with people? This commercial isn't racist at all. It plays off no stereotype other than the fact that Chinese accents and pandas come from China. I'm going to call this speciesist because it's saying all pandas come from the zoo.

Have you noticed that Irish stereotypes are usually considered funny by most Irish Americans but considered offensive by real irish people from Ireland? The reason for that is because irish-americans are now no longer discriminated against and have become a part of the american fabric and so they have the luxury to find the humor in stereotype. And yet asian americans are still considered to be perpetual foreigners, so stereotypes have very real effect on the lives of asian-americans.

The commercial is racist because it plays on stereotypes that is embedded in western society. The very reason it was NOT necessary to explicitly state the race of the characters was because the stereotypes are so ingrained that the viewer will automatically assume the characters are asian. You do not feel it is racist because you harbor these stereotypes as well, and because you're not a part of the ostracized group.
