Imposing the death penalty cost the state 5 time(!!) what it does to imprison a person for life. That's money that could be used to hire more cops and actually make us more safe.
Studies show that the death penalty is not a deterrent for crime.
some people have done things so heinous they do deserve death but in such a corrupt system of govt that our nation has at this point,and I mean the federal to the city/local level, I don't trust bureacrats to justly decide who lives and who dies. If you wrongly imprison someone you can at least let them free with monetary rewards. If you wrongly kill someone there is no going back from that. Restore the Republic
