Ladies the best relaxer is Silk Element Relaxer from Sally's Beauty Supplies. I use cooking olive oil to put on my hair for an hr. a week or two after relaxing because i have dry hair. Now my looks beautiful. Also if ur using Straight iron almost everyday PLEASE use a heat protecter hair polish so your hair wont burn. Like Fantasia IC hair polisher heat protector.
JJg35 is mistaken. I've done the treatment 4 times in the last 5 months and my hair is thriving. It's amazing for retention. You're welcome to message me for my fotki if you would like to stop by :)
Hey! I am glad your hair is thriving from the treatment. I would say so myself I have put kinky twists in now to take a break but I will make a video to show my new length as when I take them down.
For me it lasted about hmm 2 months maybe. I also wash my hair every two days, and use henna. So if you don't wash your hair as much it will probably last longer.
No, I wash/cowash my hair enough for my hair's needs. I make sure my hair is moisturized daily. Your hair also needs moisture not just oils to thrive. My hair is very happy and most importantly healthy because of how often I wash my hair.
I dont know if you know this but if you do the keratin treatment too often your hair will begin to get thin and stringy, its a good deal only if you do it every 5-6 months. Doing it too often will make your hair look as though you left a relaxer in too long. I had a friend that had to cut 6 inches of hair because of it :(
Yes I do know this that is why I advise to only do this to the roots in between and then a full head application every 4-6 months. Thanks for sharing that information, we all are here to learn :)
Yes I did apply it myself. It hold really well wth humidity. After the initial wash my hair looked texlaxed. It wasn't straight but the curl loosened significantly. Now my treatment is wearing off and I am reaplying next week. I am really impressed with this product.

you wash your hair a bit too often
the max you should wash your hair is 1 a week, because you need natural oils in your hair to keep it healthy. :)
