the land and area are beautiful but this town is a shit hole! igrew up here and have seen what winona has to offer .its run by a bunch of polock crooks who are backed by a corupt police dept. who lock up inocent people and shoot unarmed kids .fuck winona!!!!
I have a question, because Winona is is the Midwest does the city get tornado's during the summer and spring seasons or at least during the tornado season?
I have been to 42 of the states in this country and I have to say that if you really stop and take it all in, Winona is an amazing city and one of the most tranquil places in the country!
Gotta love this town, its pretty much my third home. I have loads of family that still live there. Even though I am in another town now, Winona will always have my heart.
WSHS Class of 2005, I'm over in Soma, Japan right now, and in what modest "world-seeing" I've done, Winona remains one of my favorite and most beautiful cities I've seen.
I grew up in Winona, and while I don't intend to return there permanently, I always adore my visits home.
To those life-long Winonans, I understand how easy it is to get jaded, but let yourself really see what Winona has. I think it's a wonderful place.
@blitzsquirrel yes but the town has very bad sewege!. they're are these round buildings made out of brick, i hope u know what i am talking a about. and they are all around the city connected to the sewer system, and in a 100-200ft radius around each one, you smell a very bad stink smell. ESPECIALLY IN THE SUMMER! the mayor is an idiot, and the city council, and schoolboard are a bunch of idiots!
My parents and brother Paul Decker still live in Winona, I went to Winona Senior High School - class of 1983.. Still stay in touch with friends that have never moved away.. It's a small town, approx. 30,000 people - 15% of that are students.. I do miss Winona and I'm going to B in town in April of 2010. Max Duran
Wait Wilkie's gone?? Gosh I miss Winona sooo mch!! I went to High school there and it was the time of my life!! Altho when I was there I complained a whole lot coz it was soo boring and not to mention it was freezing during winter.. But I really do miss living there.. Wish I could go back there.. :'(
i miss the wilkie...i am the student council president of the winona middle school spencer hodge...pretty cool place...i like the cities better though! GO VIKINGS! GO WINHAWKS! AND PENIS!!!
I never been, but told her it's an island city. She says her father in law says it's not an island. Just a city surrounded by water. (Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that what an island city is?) Anyway I'm worried because I don't want her to make a wrong move with her 3 children. She is 29 years old and still young. How many young people think this is a good move for her and her children?
My sister is moving there monday. She's moving on a hope that she will find work and do better then where's she's at now? She is moving from one historic city where young people cannot make it because of old retirees taking over the city and raising housing prices. I told her Winona is historic too, Is there any work there?
I Graduated from Winona Senior High School in 1983 "GO WINHAWKS" - for the most part I enjoyed my years at Senior High. I still have many friends that still live in Winona, My parents are still there - and my brother Paul works @ RTP. I REALLY MISS IT. I'm so glad I found this short video about Winona, it was well done.. HELLO!! to everybody in Winona, I'm living in California, but plan to visit some time this summer.(It's been years since I've been back) So many awesome memories, GOD BLESS

@NoMoreBubbleGum1 Winona is located in a valley so we pretty much never get tornado's. I've lived here all my life and never seen tornado.
