You all know that this is not Jose's actual drum solo. This is the precursors for Jose's roughly ten minute solo, which is one of the best I have ever seen.

Yeah, passing around a piece with a fresh bowl packed for every song was a real treat when I saw them in '06. They hit most of their older material, although I would've really liked to hear more from Fungus Amoungus and Make Yourself.
playing a double bass drum pedal at shocking speeds can only really benefit heavy metal and just takes endurance, a style like what jose plays can be implemented into many different styles, dont get me wrong Joey is alright but i remember him saying in Rhythm magazine once "I can bash the shit out of heavy metal, but i can;t play jazz to save my life" whereas theres drummers like jose, vinnie collieuta who are multi-genre talented, and excuse me for the bad spelling on vinnnies name :)
I absolutely agree, man. IMO, Joey is fast but not very fresh. If you watch him, most probably you're looking for speed and not versatility or creativity. I noticed his beats are rather similar for his songs, he doesn't vary his beats enough...

But to say Joey Jordison sucks is fucking retarded. the man is a very talented drummer. he is actually an accomplished jazz drummer too. i mean if any of you knew a lick about drumming you'd know that he doesn't "play the same thing over and over" you try to do what he does for a whole concert. "disasterpieces" look that up on youtube and see for yourself.

Jose is an amazing drummer.
Thats all I need to say, although, I dont really even need to say it. Jose says it all himself, just by beating 2 sticks on some drums.
