Oh my GOODNESS...the look on Kate's face when Gibbs takes a big gulp of her coffee is priceless!! If you notice, that seems to be a running joke during the 'Kate' episodes, someone always drinking her coffee or water or soda, etc. In the later 'Kate' episodes she has apparently given up and is even allowing herself to eat after them, passing around Chinese food containers at the desks.

The black guy is an NCIS agent from Hawaii who originally had the case but stuffed it up; he put inaccurate assumptions in his report. Then 12 yrs later the case resurfaces and since he originally worked on the case, he helped NCIS. And ...since this episode was in season 1, McGee wasn't a regular character yet.
