You know, the Big Island has an area called South Point, it's quite well know locally and written in books that USO's (unidentified submersible objects) come in and out of the water quite frequently. There are some people who have moved back to the Mainland due to the fact that it freaked them out too much, apparently they believe there's some sort of an underwater base there. Big Island is a very "special" place if you know what I mean. Lots of action going on there.
From the time I was inside the car at the beginning, drove up ahead, pulled over, got out, walked across the road onto a rock and continued recording (also taking three still photos of the object) it never moved and I never saw it while looking with my eyes. I would've seen it besides whales never go there. It's very clear in the still photos. I wish my camera was better.
If you look at the water, you'll see that the waves seem to crest right there. It really looks like a rock to me. No wash because the sea is in motion along that parallel. We are talking about that black dot that doesn't move, right?
Are you saying there is nothing there now? Look at all the other rocks with the waves smashing around them, why doesn't it do it to this thing if it is a rock in the water? Not a rock, boat, bird, kite, balloon, whale, what do you think it is now? I don't expect any real answer just maybe that you should try to think before you start actin all buss up.
listen man u really need to lay off this ufo shite dude if there was aliens out there they wouldnt sit in the sea 4 a few seconds. tbh it a mystery of wot dat fing was but i no it ent no fuckin alien it stupid
My appolgies - I just watched UFO Maui : Analysis. In my previous comment, I was looking directly above the arch. The 'object' appears above the rock formation that includes the arch. It appears as a dark spot above this formation in bewteen the arch itself and the outer most tip.
If you look at the water, you can see a large dark patch, this is lava reef below the surface. The 'object' appears at the edge of the reef close to shore. Notice that where you see whitewash is at the shore. (cont.)
(cont) the 'object' appears to be a rock outcrop that protrudes as the swell drops and is submerged as the swell rises. If you look very close, there is a little bit of whitewash visible where the water pushes against it, but it is not as drastic as seen against the larger rock forms along the shore. I have observed similar at many beaches with lava reef.
I do believe in UFO phenomenon, but unfortunately, I do not believe that this is one of them.
I have lived my entire life in Hawaii and am pretty familiar with the beaches and ocean. It looks to me like a tidal pool. There are many shoreline rock features that water fills and recedes via underwater tunnels that have been eroded into the rock. The 'Toilet Bowl' is a great example which can be found near Hanauma Bay on Oahu.
Hawaii's beaches are not as protected as you may think. State law requires that all beaches, even those on military instalations, be accessible to EVERYONE.
I'm aware of that. I was saying they are protected as far as having a boat mooring or buoy anchored just anywhere. There was a person/s parked down at that beach fishing at that time you can see in one of the other videos as we continue down the road toward the arch. It also shows there is no kite or balloon.
I never saw it. It is most likely a reflective walnut or peanut shaped probe. In bright/overcast conditions it would blend in and even possibly have invisible or light distortive properties. It looks like it could be reflecting the dark arch at the bottom and the bright white sky on top. Add light distortion from anti-gravity and voila! It looks great on a large screen tv. It doesn't belong there and that is a fact. It's not in the water and being in the air begs the question, what is it?
Yes but I didn't see this until I watched it on a tv. It is much clearer and really seems to be in the air. That part of the island is desolate and it would be very unlikely for recreational boaters to be there due to strong currents. If it was something really big floating that got loose I probably would've seen it. The wind was strong and it would've moved from the time I started filming inside the car and then got out once we got closer. The first clip is inside a moving car and the next is..
further up standing on the left side of the road. In the raw footage it seems to be spinning in place in front of or over top of the arch. Again it is not too far away that you couldn't identify it but it is far enough that it would have to be about as big as the smaller of the two rocks you see in the bottom right quadrant of the shot. Notice the water splashing and causing white water around their bases. It really is out of place there and the options of what it could be are near zero.
It's a half mile away and would be pretty big like a good sized boat. If it was a boat it would look like a boat. I have other videos with boats farther away and you can still easily recognize them as boats. "Something floating" begs the question, "what?". There are no buoys in that area, it is a protected area just like 99% of Hawaiian coastline so your options are limited as far as what it COULD be. Also notice it has no impact on the water and does not move.

One thing that is an increasing source of surprise is that in instances where such unusual objects present themselves you;
1) Never see the culmination, in other words, did the cameraman just get bored and go home leaving it doing what it was doing?
2) Never see the cameraman do everything in his power to close the very obvious and accessible gap between him and the object.
Having caught basic footage, there is an open and clear path in front to get closer.
How did it all finish?

They need to live and have their being. On the other hand, can they really blame us, for being curious?

To me it looks like one of those long inflatable tubes that is towed behind a speedboat that people sitting astride.
