  • "More power!" >:)

  • Hello. What amp are you using?

  • That is a masterpiece.

  • ..nd stuff

  • cool bro

  • FTW!!! hold onto that glorious beast!!!

  • Buckets0Blood is correct, the 1966 Jag had block inlay, but there was a transition point when they went from dot to block sometime that year. I have one with the block dated Nov.66. Got it for my 13th. birtday, ($369.00) I am the original owner.

  • FUCK I LOVE HER TONE!

  • Does your's stay in tune after using the tremolo?

  • @blue9z mine does, really well.

I locked in the case for 3 days with the trem bar pushing all the way down, took it out, the trem came back up and perfectly in tune..

I dont get why people have isues with it..

  • You sure that's a '66? I thought the '66 had Mother of Pearl block inlays.

  • Very very good!!

  • Oh my god... I really want that...

  • I would do unspeakable things to obtain ownership of such an instrument

  • What distortion pedal do you use? What amp?

  • @MCVenarse he often uses an orange tiny terror with a small marshall box

  • best guitar evar

  • AWSOME

  • i got the '62!!!!

  • and also the one when you say MORE POWER that distortion pedal as well plz thnx!

  • whats the second distortion pedal you use after accidentally hitting the tuner? i want thats sound and guitar!

  • i would die for that guitar

  • Id love a jag. Shame the squier jag has humbuckers

  • @jimik89 the classic player jag is pretty good its got single coils and its only 700 bucks at guitarcenter

  • @jimik89 and a shitty bridge

  • Totally jealous

  • You did something silly?? oh my god, that is my very favourite guitar of all! enjoy it man! I will own one some day before I die, that I swear!

  • Love '62-'66 Jaguars, they have that ol' sound not available on later Japanese reissues.

  • I like the Fender Jaguar because it's very 1960s, reminds me of all the cool surf music. Plus, you can get some great tones and combinations from them. As for Kurt Cobain and Nirvana, I hated grunge and alternative rock back in the 90s.

  • @hectorsalina WHY!? Kurt changed the world man

  • that shounds like my song at 5:57 ha

  • I don't care about Cobain. I want the guitar because it feels great, sounds great, and looks drop dead sexy.

  • beautiful guitar ive always held a place in my heart for fender jaguars

  • i want this guitar

  • I want a jagstang that kurt designed himself its so sick!

  • Comment removed

  • Awesome guitar man!

  • fuckin lush mate

  • @ShortScaleGearDemos

    I want this one!

you can have my red jag :L

  • You say is original. BUT the Damper system seems to be missing?

  • was yours about 3K?

  • Good job saving money for that beauty! It's hard to save, but when you finally get what you want, all those trips to get fast food and frivolities are hardly missed!!!

  • whats the name of the song you played at 4:43

  • ドットポジションでバインディングは珍しいよね

    お金に困ったら日本で36万円で売れるよ。

  • dull tone

  • @elSargent93 ye its camera , just listen to the sound of his voice . . . its dull too

  • When you're clean shaven, you sorta like Hugh Grant.

  • whats that first song he is playing? is it a legit song, or did he make it up?

  • How much does the Jag wiegh ?

  • @rhykko77 I have never held on but to compare a fender strat (wich is smaller in body to the jag) the strat is sort of a heavy guitar compared to say an ibanez.

I would imagine its not uncomfortably heavy but has some weight to it.

  • thats a beaut

  • Sweet Guitar!

  • heard Black Crowes !

  • What dirt are you using around the 5 minute mark? Thanks

  • Surf rock

  • 1:35 That's what she said. lawl

  • hey I'm your videos on the mustang and jaguar guitar seen what you can find better?

  • @heyheymymy78

sorry but your a total and utter idiot.

no guitar sounds like its suppost to through various amps or pedals.

it wasnt the cheapest around, he bought it in the L.A Recycler already partly modded.

all he did was change the humbuckers.

think before you say stupid things asswipe

  • @IDanClarkI erm...the difference between humbuckers and single is quite big and it does make a difference

    no need to be rude

  • Please compare with the classic player jag. From the videos, this one sounds better, but comparing videos really sucks, so i'd appreciate your opinion. What about the bridge? Do you have problems? Will you change it? I didn't hear any hum...Where's the hum?!! Got paranoid...Be back in a minute...

  • Looks and sounds fantastic

  • how does the classic player compare to this guitar? i'm looking to get a new guitar and i always wanted one of these. Does the classic player sound any good?

  • @a55hole234 i own a classic player and they say the pickups are a bit hotter than the 62 reissue i love mine but however they are made in mexico which means some are gonna be worse than others i like mine however. btw i have the single coil version i dont know about the humbucker version, but i have played the japanese one with covered humbuckers and i like mine better.

  • that thing sounds amazing, what amp are you using??

  • 3:31 sweet sleep now in the fire tone !

  • isnt paper street soap co. from the novel fight club?

  • My dream guitar, man I wish I were rich. lol, it sucks being a teenager.

  • dude I love Jags I have a Tele but I want a jag but their so expensive

  • why did u say that this was a silly tthing to do?

  • We all have a guitar that we've been dying for foreverr.Mine is A Ric but followed very closely by a classic Jag.Sounds amazing. My wife said "over my dead body will you bring another guitar into this house".

Check your papers for the headline "Woman found Beaten to Death By Guitar"

Extra Extra read all about it in the Sunday Papers

  • whipped haha

  • LITTLE WING MAN!!

    My favorite Hendrix!

  • sa merda do la si presa la maglitta du figte clubbe!?

    pozzi mori shiuppato!!

  • great array of sounds, should prove very inspiring.

  • Such a beautiful and nice guitar man!!!! Sounds very good indeed. I love Jaguars! ROCK ON an great playing!!!

  • the clean sounds are amazing

  • thats a nice looking axe - block inlays would make it look too much like a gibson firebird,,

  • I love the Jaguar except the tail piece. My favorite guitars are the jag and the Fender Marauder. Why doesn't someone have a replica made. I would have a custom one with gold hardware, 2 strat pickups, a strat tailpiece with the cover on, a black Gibson neck with custom inlays and a small black fender headstock, sunburst but instead of yellow, red and black, I'd have yellow ,green and black.

  • how much did it cost and how much is it worth? plus i own the classic player, what difference do you see ? im so down with the 66, in reality, it is the jaguar i truly wanted!

  • @JoeTMR

    probably around $7000

  • you paid 7000$??

  • @JoeTMR

no man I'm saying that's about how much they cost. maybe a little more.

  • ok bud... what i'm simply asking is how much you paid please.... ;-p

  • ...I don't have one

  • haha nah it was nowhere near that, I paid £1,700 for it. Expensive, but I got to play it in a shop beforehand a lot so not buy blind off ebay. I don't regret it even if it was an extravagance.

  • wow only £1,700? when did you buy it?

I know now that a 60's jag would cost at least $5000-$6000

  • @popomczowzow not at all

  • @mikelivesley u got ripped

  • @banjodude780 - it looks like they short-changed you in both the Grammar, Spelling, and Manners departments.

  • @mikelivesley look man im just telling them and wat do u expect im 13 years old and thats not bad manners i said u got ripped wat im saying is that at a music store in Edmonton called axe music they have a '62 jag for 1200 with original hard case with Olympic white so calm down

  • @banjodude780 - at 13 you clearly have a lot of growing up to do. What positivity could come from you saying I overpaid for the guitar? None. I happen to work hard for my money and I like it very much. The guitar you saw was a '62 Reissue from the AVRI series. This guitar is an original Vintage Fender Jaguar made in 1966, you cannot get those for $1200 CAN. Next time try checking your facts before shooting your mouth off, and you'll look less stupid.

  • @mikelivesley i work for my money to i actually have a job workin with music and i love it and iv been told im good at it and u know calling a 13 year old stupid really makes u seem tuff right you sure are a badass and sayin u paid too much for that guitar was just friendly feed back so dont shit a brick because a 13 year old told u that the guitar that u bought which im sure is a nice guitar was to much money and axe music does have the lowest prices in canada so it might be cheaper so bye

  • It cost £1,700. What it's worth is anyone's guess. I didn't buy it to make money off it though, just to play it which I do - a lot!

  • great demo

im not sure whether to get the mustang or this jaguar??

  • @94cona get the jaguar man!!! kick ass guitar!!

  • A great guitar, I love playing mine. Thanks for sharing.

  • and stuff =D ^^ :p

  • do you have a band and write songs?

  • just play the guitar...:) quit holding it up and down..you dont wanna damage that beautiful vintage fender jaguar .

and Kurt would be proud to play it LOUD

  • Why did you take out the mute gimmick if you don't mind me asking?

  • Kurt's guitar was not a Jaguar anymore; he changed the pickups for humbuckers, he installed a tune o matic bridge.... it didn't sound like a Jaguar. And he did it only because he liked the neck and by that time was the cheapest guitar around. If you get that guitar for Cobain, then you don't like Jaguars.

  • @heyheymymy78 AMEN, FOR ALL THE IGNORANTS WHO THINKS THAT BUYING A JAGUAR MEANS TO HAVE NIRVANA'S SOUND.

  • @heyheymymy78 They make jags with humbuckers 2

  • @heyheymymy78

I like Kurt but any guitar is better than him

    Xept the ugly ones

    not really

  • @heyheymymy78 didnt Kurt play a custom ferrington guitar? made by the luthier danny ferrington?

  • @heyheymymy78 Well he not only bought it for the neck, but he loved the noise it made before he did any adjustments

  • @heyheymymy78 he really got it from a pawn shop like that im not sure but I think Krist or dave bought it for him

  • @heyheymymy78 HE didn't do any of the modifications too it, he bought it like that used... the previous owner added that

  • @heyheymymy78 umm he did not change the pickups he bought it like that and yes its still a jauare

  • @dejiita The pickups in Cobain's main Jaguar were changed, to DiMarzios (PAF in the neck, Super Distortion in the bridge, later a Duncan JB), among other modifications. His other Jaguar had DiMarzios as well. I don't see why anyone would get a Jaguar to rip off his sound anyway, he usually used Mustangs and Strats.

  • @RaygunShaun well he used his jag from 90-93 then he used his mustangs from 93-94 and used strats for destroying and the end of the shows ive got live vids from nirvana from 88-94

  • Comment removed

  • @dejiita Ah, you're right, I'm wrong -- the Jaguar was actually his main guitar during the Nevermind era.

  • @RaygunShaun thats alright man im just a gear junkie thats all you where right to

  • @heyheymymy78 you' re damn right!

  • @heyheymymy78 In fact you forgot to say he used to put like black tape over all those switchs cause he didn't really give a fuck about the different tones and shit...you know, when you're all drugged up you don't waste time messing with those... :)

  • nice!!!

    I have a Jaguar <3

  • how do you feel about the HH model? not the baritone, but the one that has double pick ups instead of single ones?

  • jealous

  • kurt cobain.

  • Kurt used/invented the JagStag (Jaguar + Mustang)

  • jag stang, i just got one yesterday

  • @MoneyPieBoy He didn't invent completely, he made Jagstang in collaboration with Fender.

  • @MoneyPieBoy he never used it, it didn't come out until he was dead. but he did design it

  • @FinnsterW He played the Sonic Blue Prototype on stage and Fender was about to ship out the Fiesta Red one but he died. You can find videos of him playing it on youtube.

  • @FinnsterW the jag-stang was used on during the in utero tour 93 and 94...

  • @MoneyPieBoy Kurt used a modified Jaguar and a fender mustang for Nevermind tour! Then for the In Utero tour, he mostly used a mustang. He did invent the Jagstang, but he only played on a few occasion.

  • MORE POWER!

  • Getting one next summer.

  • thats a really nice guitar and its actually a transitional model when cbs took over fender and they put block inlays and binding but before that they started with only binding

  • i just bought one but i cant play till christmas

  • it is definitly the best guitar ive ever had ha

  • Excellent demo.

    What's your amp?

  • dude, this guitar is so fucking nice. its my favorite besides the mustang. i can't find one anywhere in that color.

  • is the first chord progression from any song??

  • You don't need a vintage one if you love the sound and feel of it. And it won't cost the earth.

  • Omg, sounds so sexy, What pedals did u use for this vid? I am so curious! Ive always wanted a vintage Jaguar and jazzmaster for ages, havent got any of them, sadly! urs sounds awesome!

  • nice demo, would be interesting to compare cij and a vintage one. i think i have to demo my jazzuar someday. cool thing!!

  • Thanks for the guitar envy mate haha.

    Fun video.

  • too cool, thats a nice bat!

  • dude, i love your shirt and your guitar.

  • i have a '65 made like 3 months before CBS took over. its the sex :)

  • I actually think this sounds a bit better than the Classic Player you have. I like the mellower tones going on here, and it distorts nicely as well. The Classic Player sounds good, but maybe a bit brash at times...

  • Lives in a house, a very big house in the country

  • What's the song in 6:14??? This guitar mashes potatoes bro!! I'm seriously considering a Jap Jaguar or Mustang!!

  • A riff from one of the bands I'm in. Don't steal it or I'll hunt you down and break your plagiarising fingers off.

  • sounds pretty good!

  • Nice.. How much did you pay?

  • A lady never tells

  • Comment removed

  • Sounds more twangy than your Classic Player. You should keep the Classic Player as a backup since it has hotter pickups it will be crunchier than your 66.

How bout some love for the Duo Sonic too!

  • I'll be doing some more Duo-Sonic stuff soon I promise.

  • New guitars always get more attention at first anyway. Looks and sounds awesome. I hope to get a Jaguar Classic Player at some point. Cheers.

  • WICKED shirt!

    i love that movie

  • another sunburst Jaguar?

  • Would appear so. . .

  • I think subrust is the way to go with Jaguars. Other finishes admittedly, look a bit tacky. Though it is nice in white.

When I finally get a Jaguar, I'll definitely get it in sunburst.

  • indeed. It's somewhat more unique than a RI though, I'm sure you would agree?

  • sounds really great NEVER SELL IT lol, its a keeper!

  • undecided as yet, will see how it goes.

  • well i really like the sound, even though im not a big fan of the Jaguar itself!

  • Nice demo. Are you keeping the other Jaguar you have?
