Thanks for posting this ode to life… one of the best sequences to emerge from Hollywood. The lush Gardel-Lepera tune perfectly gives wings to the LtCol’s will to live life in full despite his blindness… and the setting (The pre-refurb Plaza Hotel’s Palm Court in NYC?) contrasts glitter with Pacino’s darkness providing the setting for another victory by the LtCol. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this scene! And it reminded me of a story radio host Dennis Prager told once, about a sick old man in a home who was near death.
