ive bought 120 instant light charcoals KOKO brand, they are very good coals i recommend those, i bought brand new packaged and everything on ebay for an amazing price. i normally use 1 - 2 charcoals and they last me 1 hour - 1 hour and half.. i recommend those. they are smokeless ( after been lit. ) but the only proberlem i think with them the ash it produces is soo fine it turns to dust very easy.

@Cory577 smoke nats not quick lights... haha. If you think those instant lights are good coals, switch to natural coals and you'll have an even better smoking experience.

How many coals should I put on the bowl, and where should they be? On the edges?

You usually put 3, more you put more smoke you get, closer they are to the center (middle) of the bowl harsher is the taste if you put them on the edges smoke's taste is softer. (I appologize for my english)

i beg to differ on that i got my ql's from belguim they go for about 2 hrs., and the coco's about 90 minutes, i'll give them a try though

@skipca well until i realised why, I bullshit not, to use my ql's I used my combo bowl (first time bowl) but it has a cover on it, then i got a phunnel coco's only lasted 100 min- 90 min. Then i got my wind cover 2.1 hrs with cocos, it was really that the qls were covered while the coco's were not
