I have seen mostly Matt and David but my daughter, who has watched all of them, recommends starting from season 1 because there are several plot threads that will make more sense. I thought David was good and definitely a better actor but love Matt, he is such a cutie!

As for christopher, he was pretty good, but not 'wild and sci-fi-y ' (if you know what I mean) enough to be the doctor, but you should still watch him. Keep in mind that earlier on in the series the animation and technology wasn't as good as now, but don't let that spoil the rest of the epic-ness for you!
